LS1 Camaro vs. LS2 GTO
A buddy at work finally graduated to the LS family and got an 05 GTO so of course we had to have a run and see what's what. The first race was fubar, we were still waiting to come around a bend in mexico when he started honking it off so my 2-3 shift sucked and threw the *** end around a bit and i missed the hell out of 4th.. Second run was clean, mods in vid.

Anyone care to share how to get this damn video to show up on the top?

I'm surprised myself. I had an 05 A4 and had a few roll races with a local LS1 M6 WS6. I had a CAI, he had lid and cutouts open. Very very close, I MAYBE pulled 1 foot on him from 30 or so up to 100. Those A4's suffer in roll racing.

I ran several LS2 GTOs (M6 and A4) when I was stock and the M6 runs were always close (dead even a couple of times) and I always managed to pull the A4s. A good friend had a 2006 and I pulled him past the 1/8th everytime. Even with a tune I would win (it was close though). Plenty of runs at the track even...

Hard to say what the true results would have been, both had passengers and I didnt hit 4th in any of these runs. We actually just did some re-runs today with no passengers and i would pull slightly at the top of each gear but thanks to my amazing stock hydraulics I again couldnt hit 4th to save my life, this is getting old quick, time for a TMC as soon as the funds are there. Haha, good spot there Nick and thanks for fixing the post LS1Rob, dont know why it's not showing up when i do it.

Not really seeing where the issue is? It's a 2000, therefore no 01+ manifold or cam. Why wouldn't the ls1 get walked? The ls2 was a better motor and with a tune even stock really woke up. At tune only ls2 gto is 340 rwhp easy.

The A4 LS2's weren't too bad. A tune did tremendously help them. I went 13.5 stock with 245 tires and some big suspension problems. A cai and some suspension went 13.1 right next to an Auto 5.0 down the track. Once it was tuned, felt like a totally new car, though. They were pretty terrible for roll racing unless you were in the exact right spot.
