2014 C7 Corvette vs 2014 GT500

Are we serious here? You want to set aside the effects of, if NOTHING ELSE: Air Density?
Be serious… That video has been all over the Ford sites and that is hardly a NEW point, nor has ANYONE brought ANYTHING to the table that might invalidate the point.
The suspension system on the ZL1 is VASTLY SUPERIOR to the straight axle 500. It's not even a debatable point… The 500 puts down 20% more power but it can't keep it on the ground as well as the ZL1.
That's just the way it is… the ZL1 is a better car, man. It's just slower out of the box.
So, look what I did for ya there.
I stated that the 500 is Faster… (Not that it's debatable… but no one is denying it.)
So in terms of straight line speed, in stock trim, the 500 wins. So if the issue is simply speed… you have everything ya could ask for.
How much more can I do for ya? Honestly?

Don't get nervous buddy. You're ok.
No need to panic here. I'd hate to see ya damage the kids college fund by running out and buying a bigger blower just to win a friendly discussion.
Be cool…

WHat won't do it? The ZL is the GT500 competitor. You built motor Z is not. Faster or not... hell if we want to talk faster, I would also take a ZR1 out if that's what you want to hear. But I am modified.

PC… Come ON MAN! Its obvious… Look at the TREES… The ZL1 is running in the dead of summer, with plumage in full summer regalia… while the 500 is running along side throughly strip winter-dead branches.

I will concede to you that an IRS system is more capable on a road course than SRA. We shall see how the new S550 Mustangs do when they come out with IRS.
