Agreed. That's why I was choosing it over the 60, but the 'quicker" factor never came up for me... it happens that the quickest of that sub-set used the old 3spd and my thought was, that's because it will survive. I was really impressed with my 200, btw. It held up to 10.30's for a long time. At around 2yrs, 2nd went and I just had it rebuilt and put it on a shelf about 500m later because I decided to go with a stroker and felt the torque would be too much.

1st, it's you trying to brag... until your time is smashed, then it's "unfair" and so forth... It was unfair the instant the 5L hit the Mustang chassis, kid.

That said, think it over... That SS may have cost $35,000 new... Probably only cost around $30,000... Even at that, $15,000 more for a 15yr newer car that's WAY WAY WAY better... No big deal and well worth it. Look back and consider inflation, etc. and the Mustang was a really sweet deal in comparison.

I've seen a barely-modded car trap 110mph as well...with a 2.15 60' time and -700' DA. That car was less than a year old at the time, not some 12yr+ 100k+ mile car. He made right around the same power as the car in question as well, with just a lid. 113mph with literally the only mod being a Y-pipe is completely unheard of. Also, nobody gives a **** what you say.

This car has changed more in 1 thread than it had for the entire 1st 10+yrs!

What matters, aside from that it runs well, is that the actual modifications are listed if a race is shown. For starters, let's not have other dumb *** kids thinking 3 mods will get an old LS1 to pull away from the new Coyote Mustang... particularly if you're also claiming that Mustang has mods. Next, people here WILL call you out if you half-step or lie.

Talking trash is all good, but when you insist on talking trash about how "bad ***" your car is because it beat something of stature, A: It really should be. B: Don't.

I guess i'm a rare exception, Big fan of both cars; LS Fbodies and the new 5.0 - both. I Will trade in my dd '08 GT for a 5.0 eventually. but my WS6 I keep garaged forever!

Am I supposed to mention tr55 spark plugs, k and n panel filter, the 10 lb weight reduction from me taking a **** before the race?

Friend's 5.0 has rear trunk gutted with spare tire delete and was on 93 octane with an AED base tune and he has lower control arms too... But he had a 10 ounce steak and some other food before the track.

I had my owners manual in the car, so did he.

My tires have 4/32 tread or so in back, his drag radials only had 5 passes on them.

I have aftermarket denso headlights, which may be lighter or heavier I'm not sure.

I have a stock maf screen still.

I had a 1/3 a tank of gas of 91 from shell.

I had an unplugged hole in the side of my Lid that was letting in unfiltered air that i fixed right after the track.

My smooth bellow mod wouldn't seal tight against the throttle body and kept leaking on the bottom side.

He has the lightest base model 5.0 automatic.

I had my a/c off and asr off.

Any more irrelevant bullshit you need to know?

The 5.0 did 12.6 @ 112 mph on this setup.


Here's him versus a 5th gen camaro that did 13.0 @ 108 mph.




5.0 owner made the vid and description and it was wrong. No he has 853 heads not LS6 and the stock SS slp blackwing lid. Do I need to do the same ******* walkaround bullshit nonsense on my friend's car for you too?

Broke the rear end though.
