I've posted time slips and video of my cars many times.

If you've ever gone to any of the Dragging Rights, then chances are that you've seen one of my cars.

Hey, it's all in good fun and learning about each other's cars.

As far as the 300hp in the new v6 cars.

Bwhahahahahahahahahaha.

Us LS1 f-body guys out here had a few v6 Camaro and Mustang owners talking trash one day about "well, we have 300hp too". We tried to explain that even though your 300hp is nice, it isn't on the same level because.
1. That's at the flywheel, not at the rear wheels like we were talking.
2. The amount of torque your v6 cars make isn't even close.
3. The weight (especially the Camaro RS) is easily on our side.

So we lined them up and it wasn't even close. Only one was butt-hurt afterwards and stopped hanging out with the rest of us. Don't get me wrong, I love technology, but those of you who really know hp/tq/rpm/weight/gearing, they're all important.

As far as the new 5.0s. I like them, think they sound good, but I must have run the two slowest 5.0's ever built if all they do is walk all over LS1 cars.

Back in 2004 when the Terminators where running around Newark DE, they seemed to avoid my dark blue trans am. I also had boost and they would always get pissed because they thought they were going to "put me in my place" and saw nothing but tail lights. That was always fun.

Your from NC so you probably know a guy from Bennet NC that had a Black Termi few years back. I heard it was one of the Fastest in the country. Not sure though. I think now he has a new 5.0

LOL....I wish you were closer. We would find out. I think your termi would see tail lights. Hell if I set up a camaro similar to your fox I wouldn't be scared of it with a bolt-on ls6. I think it would be a good run....me on pump and you needing race gas of course.

Yeah I know Jeremiah At one point his Cobra was one of the fastest IRS Cobra's in the country and now his 5.0 is really getting fast.

While I won't argue that the race between my bolt on Cobra and your highly modified Camero would be close, you have fallen and busted your head if you think low 400 horsepower is going to run in the 9's at 3000 pounds.

If the power listed on your sig for your current car is accurate, you likely beat the new 5.0 driver, not the car.

Bolt-on ls6 record is 10.02 @ 135. That's right in your fox ball park is it not? No reason why I should not be somewhere close to that if I wanted.

And remember my camaro is n/a being compared to your aftermarket boosted cobro. Which I consider a highly big mod. No reason to downplay it.

So this Bolt On LS6 record holder is a 3000 pound F-Body?

Please post link to the build of this bolt on LS6 engine, just curious as to how much rwhp this internally untouched LS6 makes.

It's a c5z, bolt on ls6 on IRS... at equal weight I would think the SRA fbody would have a chance of pulling off a better ET.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/perf...-02-135-a.html

We made 413 thru 4.10 gears on a Mustang dyno.

So then why is Hio almost a 1 second behind and 5 mph less?

I mean he looks down on cars that under perform and according to this Vette, and you saying that a F-Body should pull off a better E.T, his car is under performing.

Pretty sure he has covered that topic himself several times (hopefully I won't be accused of swinging from his nuts now), the C5Z is stripped and likely much lighter than his fbody which still has interior and the c5z is launching from 5K on a well prepped track... Hio has a ******* 10 bolt and probably launches somewhere around idle (if he wants the POS to live).

I just read that thread and now understand why that "bolt on LS6" is so fast.

How light is a Vette ? How light is a Vette that the owner says he has stripped the weight out of it and it's really light?

I remember a article years ago in a old Hot Rod magazine. They took some big 4 door early 70's GM car and kept taking weight off the car. IIRC, the car started off like in the high 16's and by the time they hacked the car down to a chassis with a motor sitting in it, it was running like low 11's-high 10's.

Do you see what I'm getting at?

that argument was never accepted when a 5.0 ran 9's with "bolt ons only"

Sounds like you're captain hypocrisy now.....lol....as usual. But nice try on playing that off on me.

That vette weighs 29xx at raceweight. My car was near 3250 last time I ran it. That alone is 3mph~. That car also 60's in the 1.4 range..... .3 faster than me. Also runs on a slick.....must be something to do with a slick being faster. Believe or not the vette is still more aero than my camaro to.
