Default LE1 LT1 vs bolt on LS1.

lt1--- LE1 heads, 218\224 cam, 1.6 rockers, 1-3\4 headers, CAI, tuned.

ls1--- bolt ons.

45 mph roll. lt1 gets the hit because I can't hear the honks very well. went to top of 4th.

*inb4 rolls are gay. I prefer digs, but it's just too cold yet.

You need to get that LT1 on the dyno or to the track to see whats wrong. I thought the stock manifolds were killing it, but its still a POS even with headers lmao...you sure its H/C lol???

H/C LT1 should not get pulled that hard from a 45 by a bolt-on LS, even with a baby 218int cam and tiny LE1 heads.

I agree.... It really should be a better run. Notch and another friend had a great run with notch's ls1 car and our friends lt car.

the small cam is holing it back. LE2 heads aren't really worth a pile more HP.

I've played with both the cars over the winter. the only one I haven't touched is the 455 car and I have a vid of the lt1 racing it before I put the headers on. the 455 pulled 1 length from a low roll and just held it all the way to the top of 4th. I know the headers made a big difference on the lt1 so the outcome will be interesting.

oh and yeah the heads are definitely ported. I chequed when I put the headers on. here is it idling with open headers.

Good run. If you want some solid LT1 advice, message my buddy Mike on here (Quik95lt1). He was trapping low to mid 120s with his old H/C lt. Runs 9.7s at 139 now NA still with a 23* LT head.

that's the thing. the car runs like a top and will pull to 6500 pretty easy if you want it to.

thanks revvin' Evan. what the car really needs is a bigger cam and gears. not really sure why i'm messing around with this thing though. I guess I just enjoy it.
