the sarcasm apparently didnt come through the text.....it put down 278 awhp, and its not a straight line car. its more than a handful for vettes in the twisties though if that helps?
*edit* once the new motor is done it should be around 350-375 awhp, but it still wont see a drag strip, im all about the curves

the higher performance packages in the 3rd gen cam with what is know as the "9 bolt" borg warner rear diff. it's Australian made and parts are limited in north America. I could swap in a GM 10 bolt, but the 9 bolt is a stronger unit with bolt in axles, bigger ring gear and 6 spider carrier setup.

that's a ford 9". that wouldn't be an issue at all.

Good luck to you both. I havent been this excited for a build off in a while. Being born in 82 I remember seeing them as a kid and thinking they were the coolest thing ever.... well I still think that.

Let's establish something, you waited to put out the "bolt on" and "cam only" challenge until after I decided which car I was getting, which also, was purchased with NO intention of keeping stock heads. So let's just chill on this hoopla that I was too skeered to do either of those challenges. I knew how horrid the heads were when I bought the car, but my liking of the styling of the car outweighed that especially when I wasn't keeping stock heads regardless.
Well his daddy is in there now. You can tell by all the bullshit both spew.

it's not really a matter of afford, just feels like a rip off. but it's probably my best option.
if the car had 3.73's I would consider keeping them. but 3.45's aren't low enough.
I can get 3.70's new off ebay for $275. but if i'm switching I want to go to 4.10's.
