Lol I contacted a custom chip guy, and told him what I was planning to do, and what he likes to see for cam specs for tunability.
His first question---- why are you building a 305???

How did I miss this epic 80's battle getting down!!!??? LOL, this is awesome. I taught a few fox body 5.0 owners back in the day that the 305 TPI was quick when modded right. Sometimes I miss the old highschool days when I had my 305 TPI/5 speed car. Life was a lot more simple back then making under 300 HP.
Just to fuel this fire a bit...here was the last dyno from my old 305 combo. All stock 135K mile engine, stock heads with gasket matched intake ports, stock TPI setup with the exception of a ported plenum, comp computer compatible cam with .464/.470 lift and roller rockers (stock ratio), and then the obvious bolt ons like shorty headers, exhaust, intake. Car ripped being a 5 speed manual and there were plenty of 80's 5.0 stangs, a few 2 valve mod motor stangs, and even an LT1 and LS1 F-body that saw my TA's tail lights.

why in the world would you build a 305. The cam really isn't good for fuel injection. You need a higher LSA than that and you can't run that much lift on a tiny 305 cylinder with the large valves in the TFS heads. you will shove the intake valve into the side of that cylinder at much over .480 lift. Find yourself a nice 350 block and put those heads on it and for cam use something with a little more LSA like a comp cams 08-306-8 which will peak about 6200-6300 rpms although those 175cc heads will run out of air a little earlier than that but that 350 TFS HSR setup will be able to fully utilize the 24lb injectors. If you used a set of AFR 0919 180cc heads you would probably need a set of 30lb injectors on a 350.

Lol I have to build a 305 so just bear with me.
The TFS 175's are a 1.94 valve, not a 2.02. Guys have tested them over .700 lift on a stock bore 305. Trick flow shimmied over the valves just a touch as well to Allow for more lift. I'll likely give it a .030 bore as well
I was wondering about the 110 LSA being a little tight. I was wondering if you preferred to see a 112 or even wider for tuning.

Honestly don't mess with 305's they aren't like ford 302's which are good for high rpm usage

I'm an experienced engine builder and am well aware of the limitations that the smaller bore imposes. My inquiry pertains to injector size and what cam specs are easier to tune in the application of the 87 formula that it is going in.
