But, but DA

I know it is difficult for you to understand since your experience is limited to bolt on M6 LS1's. It is pretty simple really... All you need to address is traction. My 10 second LT1 that 60's in the 1.4 will dead hook from a 20 roll on the street. It is not difficult to get a stalled auto to hook. A bolt on stalled 5.0 will have no more problems from a dig than your M6 on the street.

My advice to your bro would be to ditch the Boss intake and DTP tune, get a real tune from RevAuto, Mid Atlantic Performance, VMP or the like, ring Circle D, and show you some tail lights. He could even put the stock mufflers back on, or keep the AB. It adds no power it is a sound preference.

I doubt your bros car could outrun mine.. he is somehow ******* up a automatic 5.0. I ran 8.39@85 bone stock in 1600 FT DA - to his what.. 8.8 @ 80 in 3800 DA? Even at that DA he should have at least trapped quicker. it doesnt add up.
DA makes a huge difference. Look at islander in his 9 sec cobro, he runs in shitty DA but yet if he ran at atco then he could possibly be running in the high 8s. To think DA especially 3000+ can't knock off half a second is preposterous.

Man this had me really laughing hard. You are a funny dude..

For the record - no crying has been done about anything on my part. I could care less how much my 5.0 weighs.. Just stating facts. Ls6 needs a weight advantage to beat a 5.0.

You haven't replied to my post towards the top of the page. Is Hammers car a drivers race or is the 5th gen a turd? I know it is tough to reply because you will contradict yourself anyway you slice it. You backed yourself into this corner..

DOh! MAC opened his mouth...

I am fully aware of DA's effect on track times. I race in anywhere from 0 DA to 3500+ DA in the summer. And no, 3000 difference is not .5 .. it's maybe .3 ..MAYBE.

Yep, cause a bolt on LS1, LS6, or 5.0 is so new that we need to play with shift points - on sealed motors These things haven't been figured out, over and over again.

I completely disagree, its all about the set up. You're saying you are slower than hammer in the 8th yet think for some reason you are faster in the quarter. Then you make a remark about ricer math, yet you yourself did that. Back to the example again islander would run a 8s in better DA.

You clearly are showing signs of the 5.0 that people bash about on here. I bet you fully believe in the 10 sec bolt on only 5.0 yet with your car you aint running that. Not only that i would also bet you believe in the 11 sec tire swap only 5.0 yet again you still dont run that (from your 8th mile time)

You can't ******* argue with someone elses actual experience. Your typical google, and wikipedia resources are not valid.

My 5.0 doesn't have to run 10's with bolt ons to be capable. I would never build a all out bolt on 5.0 anyway... It will get turboed and run 9's at full weight with my Shaker blasting, and A/C cranking if I do anything with it.

I personally witnessed a tune, CAI, DOT slick 5.0 M6 go 11.8 @ 118 back to back to back. DA was near 0..

Are you really an engineering student? I find it hard to believe that anyone going to school for engineering could have such a hard time following along a simple internet forum thread.

Looks like the furd guys still need boost.

you probably didn't buy a stick car cause you vag lips are so big it makes it hard for you to shift.

Let's clear some things up.

You are scared shitless the 305 is going to get waxed so you want me to add weight. This is my Mustang vs his Formula and you know you're going to eat crow when it's over with.

Translation: GM produced an inferior car. Sounds like a GM problem.

Thanks!

You should really see a specialist. Poppacapp didn't even mention 302s but your little man's syndrome couldn't help it.

It must suck to be you
