It's 5.0 vs 5.0, not sure if you got that far in your 9th grade education classes or not (would be shocked if you made it past junior high) but they're similarly sized motors. It's not about Hio's bitchy excuses why he knows the 302 will likely mop up.

Ouch. What percentage of the fuel tax is taken up by the universal healthcare thing? Not sure if it does.. I just heard a good while ago, thats one of the ways its paid for

Gas in NC is around 2.70s right now... but NC has the highest gas tax in the Southeast. I live 5 mins from the SC line... so I go down there and pay .20-.30 less per gallon. Screw NC.

Lots of taxes and fees in Canadia. They seem to find new ones all the time.

As far as I can tell, it all goes into a government slush fund....never to be seen again. lol

Now scroll down the comments till you get to 1litremania and you can see a typical furd guy.

Go look around. There were actually quite a few guys with stock 1le cars that went 14.1. But you actually have to read and comprehend to understand that.

I apologize, they didn't actually say which engine that 89 IROC-Z had and I thought it was an auto, but stick = 305. I've yet to find a production test of a 1le that went 14.1 stock, I don't trust other people's word for it, I know how far "stock" stretches. And yeah, that G92 is pretty damned far from stock, unless G92's were putting two car lengths on LT1's.

Mid 14's with an SN95 is possible with bolt ons, but I have yet to see a stock one get anywhere near that. I just sold a 95 GT and it was nowhere near a mid 14 second 1/4 car.

Don't label me a ford guy either. Unless ford made the C4 corvette, cause that is what I'm driving right now.

Thanks for admitting that 14.3 is a stretch for the guys claiming that with their stock foxes. Especially since our resident yo yo managed a 15.1 on a prepped track with his. 14.3 seemed a stretch for me to.

I still say that GM didn't make better **** till the LT1 and even the L98 IROC-Z reviews said that it could only match the 5.0L. All things equal, both the IROC-Z and 5.0L cars were mid to high 14 second cars in stock form. I think the aftermarket for ford was better and that is why they won. So yes, the 80's were very close. The 90's on the other hand, GM destroyed ford.

And I like my C4, including the leather gloves and porno mustache. At least I got to cut the mullet off.

..I agree and that is all I've ever said. The only problem I have is that the lightest low optioned furds were never directly compared to low option (1le) fcars. It was always low option furds to high option turdgens.

now the furd guy's may have a problem with what you said. .....jus warnin ya.

Nope, Ford owned the 80s, nothing new here. Hio admits the 305 was better suited for toilet paper use, so we agree again I guess!
