You're absolutely right, because so many people are siding with you and saying you're right.... Oh wait, no you don't. Motor trend, hot rod magazine, and motor week, they're all backing you up with raw numbers.... Oh wait, no they aren't. And you also have a bunch of street racers from the 80's saying that the camaro owned the mustang.... Oh wait, wrong again.

All you have is a bunch of talk and one youtube video.

The problem is I am a street racer from the 80's. I have my own experiences. Sorry just was not impressed with the stangs back then and I only ever had one run with my old Monza. Face it...the aftermarket in the 80's is not what it is today for ANY car. So the **** you guys come up with was not even available then.

It's funny when all you come up with is your bullshit.....and btw.....motortrend backed me. You couldn't stand it when I posted the 13.9 vid of the iroc test. Like I said my ringer out rang yours and it ate you up.

There are many tests from back in the day on those cars. And all I have ever claimed is that it was close and back and forth.......for some reason that bothers you.

Hell our resident child didn't leave the 15's with his 5.0 fox and is doin errything he can to handicap hammer. that's troof enough for me.

Man it is really getting to Hio that our cars are similar weight. He really must want to avoid the severe embarrassment sure to come. Look how hard he's reaching

Still ing that he wants me to add weight to my full weight car. I've asked you before, do you actually have a mental disorder? Resident child that literally punches holes in your arguments every single day. You get made a fool of by someone half your age on here constantly, that sure must be embarrassing, I understand why you're so insecure

Like I said, you have one video as compared to the three that I posted up. Not to mention I have already shot holes all in it.

As for the aftermarket, it doesn't take much to get a notch into the high 12's. Bolt ons, full exhaust, gears, and some weight reduction will do it.

I can live with "it's close back and forth", but that isn't what happened. You claimed that a 190HP 4bbl 305 ran 14.7 stock, but a 210hp 4bbl 302 couldn't run a 14.3. Then you claimed that a 305 1le ran a 13.9, while providing no documentation to back it up and when I posted up proof that it never happened, you come up with an L98 that ran 13.9 and pretended that it was a 305 1le.

The entire argument since then has been about the L98, which isn't what this thread is about in the first place.

Oh and as for that "90's street race" video that was posted on here, I checked a few more of his videos and that guy is full of crap. His stock mustang killer also walked all up and down an LT1 F body.

yes it is. So is the rest of the exhaust. I made notch's exhaust headers back for him.

Looks like he has some work to do for sure.
Doug, it's not debatable. It's a fact. They were capable of mid 14s. My handicapped *** ran 14.5@95 with an off road h, flows, and control arms. That was on heavy *** chrome cobra rs as well. Good driver in a stock one = 14.4-14.5

The GTS/248a cars were definitely low/mid-14s cars, but I'm sure Doug will discredit those because they were low-option.

He can discredit whatever he likes. I'm not claiming som ridiculous times here, just stating that they were capable of running with his beloved 305...even when the vehicle weights were comparable.

Look at snake reaching and proving stock 5.0 foxes were a 15 sec car.

I didn't say anything about a L98.....or the fact that you furd guys want to use your best engine to compare to gm's 4th best of that decade.

vid??? Mustang killa right here

Did you see the verts go at it??? Did you see which one won???? lol

Now scroll down the comments till you get to 1litremania and you can see a typical furd guy.

Go look around. There were actually quite a few guys with stock 1le cars that went 14.1. But you actually have to read and comprehend to understand that.

Jc said they were mid 15's......you furd guys can't even get together on it. Not to mention snakes blazin 15.1 puts a sn95 car right where it should be.

You folk... I think were too young to truly recollect the 1980s and early 1990s. Like now it really was not a stock vs stock comparo but who could go quicker for less. Stock 5.0 Mustang a mid-high 14sec cow but very easy high 13s(Tony Defeo made the car famous with his 10 minute mods article which was copied in many magazines) and then high 12s with bolt-ons.(Again Tony Defoe) Most GM folk I knew in my area,(no Internet so it was entirely people you knew) went with one of the FI V6 offerings or used nitrous on a 5.7 F-body OR the real serious folk went SBC or BBC or BBX into older models investing money into their builds.

Nobody seriously modded a 305 in our area. Owners of the Monte Carlo SS would use nitrous. I recall the 1983 Mustang 5.0 vs. L69 Camaro vs Charger 2.2 shootout and mod series done by a magazine. Low 12s but the 305 broke a connecting rod in the final round.

Oh well, flame on.

NB: This one reads like the 305 engine used in the shootout referred to above. High Energy cams were the TR/TSP of their day: http://www.hioutput.com/tech/400hp/400hp.html

NB2: Here is one of the famous Tony Defoe articles. http://www.stangnet.com/images/stories/2009/01/defeo/

the problem with it all is the cheaper the mustang you bought, the faster it was. the opposite to most 3rd gens. to a mustang, a 5.0 was a 5.0.

with a 3rd gen a 5.0 could have been 3 different engine, from a TBI 305, a small cam TPI 305, and then the large cammed TPI 305. you needed the best engine t make it a race, and at that, if you bought a fully optioned car to get the best engine, well now your trans am is over 3500 pounds.

you had to jump the right hoops and check the right boxes to get a car that would compete with the mustang, like my G92 AC delete large cam 305 formula.

and the in the later 80's\early 90's the TPI cars got more power yet, but you still had to order it right to get the g92 package.

Finally after all the arguing, errrbody is now on the same page that the Fox Body 5.0 was faster than the 3rd Gen 5.0.

GM guys just hate to admit it so much, they are literally defending the 305. I wonder if, at some point, you just look in the mirror and say "I'm defending the 305" and question your existence. They suck. Have that excuse book ready, Hio. Have it ready and updated.

Like I've always said, GM guys first answer when you ask how do you make a 305 fast? Swap a 350 in hammer's tuner even begged him to sprint away from the 305.

Hio, now just do your thing and don't address anything, just write one line back because you're cognitive function is so lacking that you can't make rational retorts. I don't think I'm alone in this section when I say I feel sorry for you

He'll make up a bunch of excuses and cry like heater did when I called him out....twice......

I still find it funny that they want to use gm's 4th in line performance engine of that era just so they can compete.
