Okay, Mr. Play on words, a 305 is a small bore 350 basically. What you're saying is you'll have a 305 with a .030 overbore, right?
No stroking would be needed, just boring it out to a 4 inch bore is all you'd need to have a 350.
Oh, and the answer is the PCV vacuum location. Usually people put the PCV line to the port closest to 4 & 8, so if you're sucking any oil, it pools in 4 & 8, then after so long, those cylinders are trashed.

In the later SBC (mid 80's on or round abouts) they went to a step nosed cam. It's the same cam the LT uses, the dowel just needs adjusted to length.
