Forgot to answer the 2nd part of the question. The Miata was introduced in 1989 so technically it is an 80s car BUT mine happens to be a 93. There were no differences between the 89 and 93. Mine has an 86 carbed 5.0, stock cam, and heads. Trans is a T5.
