I'm a big guy, I make up the difference in the weight of the car.

I'm a big guy too! I mean I'll still let you in just so I can stop whooping hammer's 305 for a minute.

both of our cars are similar weight. there will be no major gutting or weight reduction.
The car should weight about 2850 lbs with me in.

Since I have a weight adv, I will have stock 5.0 iron heads with diy porting. Mild (E303) cam swap. Stock bottom end. That's all I plan to do.

The car has MT ET Streets DR on it.

Man that's light. I'll likely be in the 3400 RW range.

If you're that confident, throw $100 on hammer and I'll bet $100 on myself or 50, whatever you want.

LOL the only swap that should be done regarding a 305 is the cam being swapped for a lit stick of dynamite

I don't care about winning if I have an unfair advantage. I'll run it soon to see what it does. If needed, I could add weight, run street tires, or disconnect a spark plug wire (for the 305s - jk).

There were a lot of swapped cars in the 80s. Some that come to mind were the Vega, Pinto, and Maverick (most were 6 cyls). A 302/305 would make them come alive. Saw a 460 swap in a Pinto once...crazy!

A 302 on 6 cylinders would be a good match for a fully built 305 for sure.

DAYUMN! That would be a wild ride.

I have had a head start but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I am very competitive but I'm ok as long as I'm not last.
