Nah... I haven't had any issues with any of the 5th gens I have run into. Including a 429rwhp one.

So what you're saying is gear don't help some cars?? This particular car being a 5gen.......lol Goes to show what you know.


You've had issues getting back to that 12.4 tho.....with more mods and a dr now all we see is xxxxxxxx

Looked like tgat 5gen out trapped you to. Since you like roll racing tgat had to be hard to swallow.

How cime no vids of you and all these 5gens?

L99 5G usually needs a cam and bolt ons to keep up with a LBO Br0 around here. It's really similar to ls1 fbodies. Not sure why GM decided to make the L99 5G slower than the ls1 fbody stock for stock.

I do believe 62 woulda put it all over you with his l99.....befire the cam of course

You realize there were only 2 out of the 5 or 6 years that the mustang beat the the 5gen......and even then it could only beat it in acceleration .

All evidence shows modern irs working pretty darn good from a dig.

I'm not saying it belongs in topfuel cars but for most of us it sure seems to be a benefit.

I agree with Doug that irs could be really great in the future as we've seen big leaps already. But for right now, I still think SRA is a smarter choice for drag racing purposes

xxxxx are there because it is going to change. I also have not run the 1/4 with more mods yet. My tune is also being revised as we speak, so the car will run like it should... which would have out mph him by a couple mph. Ran 2 times and won both times.... hmm.. ok then Hio.

No vids because I sold my gopro after I got rid of the Shelby. Don't worry mang... when I get another gopro, I will be sure to include videos of 6gens getting gapped just for you.

The 5th gen I ran was a manual car. CAI, Long tubes, tune, catless exhaust etc... was very loud... on ET Streets. Car was nice and sounded good. Owner was cool. said it made 429rwhp. He is debating about adding more mods to the 5th gen, or getting a 6gen.

Hell he's been trying to match it for the last several times out and hasn't.

That mod list missing one key ingredient.......gears in the m6 cars. I don't know why so many overlook that in a car that does 160+ in 4th. For a 5gen not modded right he was right there and since you wanna talk woulda's poppa. He woulda walked you from the rolls you like.

Dang, and that out trapped you? It is running well.

The local L99 needed a cam, full exhaust, converter, cai, drag radials just to ET a tenth and trap a mph better than my Header/Orx Br0 on 275/40/19 Conti DWS tires.
