Boss 302 vs 2016 SS
Nice try Mystic. I'll be the first to admit there are a lot of things I don't know and I'll never act like I do, but I'll always know more than you
Yeah it is, but his black one has a built engine and a glide now lol
Yeah... no.
N/A or boost for boost (as you and your friend like to compare) the 5.0 is WAY ahead. in terms of how much power they can hold all out, the 4.8/5.3 would at the very least need head studs to survive at the power levels the 5.0 can take from the factory.
Also, from what I have seen the 5.0s are more reliable at high hp levels. The only reason you see JY 4.8/5.3s pushed so far is most people dont care if they blow them up because a new one will only cost them $500s...
I'll let you get back to your trolling now.

Just trying to match the reach you LS guys have.

sigh.
About a full second faster, lol.
LMFAO. No. Just quit.

Nice....bring up a full on funny car when I'm speaking of production cars.
The funny part is I'm sure mihovets could do that with any platform. Once you get there it's about the builder and not so much the platform. But as usual you will resort to boost when you can't keep up n/a.

Damn, at the tire? I've never seen a stock shortblock 4.8 (rod bolts and all) any higher than 1,1xx on an engine dyno. It surely would not last any decent amount of time in a 3000+ lb car. 1200whp is likely 1400-1500 hp at the flywheel. I'd have to see it to believe it. That's insane for bone stock LSx shortblock.

The funny part is, he chose the better platform to do it. Lol at can't keep up N/A. I kept up with the G8 N/A for N/A, hmmmmmmm. Crazy how things work, huh? Reach out a tadddddd higher for the "boost" argument, guy.
Haha oh yeah? I'm not talking NA I'm talking stock longblock. There are several 2015+ GT's handling 900-1100hp over and over and I've seen several newer LT1's give out at ~700-750. So yes the 15-16 GT has more potential in that sense

It goes both ways. Not every coyote is going to hold that much power. I've seen nitrous blow up some coyote even on a 150 shot. To many variables but both Chevy and ford have made 1k hp with a stock block. The 5.0 you speak of won't make the power NA compared to a lsx base all ***** out. It needs the boost and if you want to do a 1k hp build on your new coyote go ahead. Don't forge it let's just see how fast it pops. So many threads of budget build stock blocks on ls1tech making that much power and guess what. The engine is dirt cheap

Yeah... no.
