Should do real well considering you could pull more gear with it. Even doin a pretty small change in gear will give more tq to the rear wheels. Then considering a 7100 shift point the motor would pretty much never drop below 5000....on the 2/3 not below 5200 and 3/4 shift not below 5400. So it seems it would spend way more time above 6k than below.

That actually would be cool.

I'd like to see track results to confirm the gains though.

Be cool to see these 2 engines dropped in identical cars and tuned for their best performance. .........but it would be a slaughter.

How would you like your coyote cooked?

5.3 has been 4.5s, coyote has not. Supposedly the fastest coyote in the world is JPC car that has gone 4.8-4.9s last time I looked

I don't think there has been a comparable ls3 in a car to do that. But the ls6 has been 10.0 at 2-3 more mph than the coyote race car you speak of.........but in a street car.

Now back on topic about the *** whoopin the coyote received.

I wasn't aware the 5.3 came in any Camaros or Corvettes.

Just can't get it done with what you're given from the factory I guess.

Hmm.. but but... Mustangs don't need to visit the junkyard to get a good motor... we can do it with the engine that came in the car from the factory. Poor LS guys....
