Got hustled by sleeper H/C LS1 Damn, He ran a stock muffler on a 99 Z28 like mine and I swear it sounded stock. It had a fishy tone, but I didn't even see it coming. He was on a 325/50/15 BFG (TONKA) tire on drag lites. I was on a 17" ET Street, I know. 
We line up and he thought he'd roll me out of the hole, but I actually put a car and a half on him out of the hole. He then caught up to me halfway down and kept feathering it to make it seem close. Dick! I thought he was spraying, but turns out he's on a small cam and ported heads.
I run 11.8s on boltons with chrome ZR1s and would've won if he WAS on boltons like he said. The word is he runs 11.2s.
$100, but hey I have to give him props on the stealth setup.
I just ordered a G5X3, 90mm LSX setup, mounted my new D10 Bogarts with M&H cheater slicks, and took out both bumper supports. We'll see what happens in a few weeks.

yeah, but generally, they have the stock muffler, and then have that electric cutout, and right after the burnout... boom, the open it up, and then you realize you are ab to be in a world of hurt... unless the car is a turd... but nice death

lol there is a LT1 camaro around here that looks bone stock. you pop hood, everything looks stock, even stock cam. It runs low 11's with a huge shot of nitrous. don't know how big of a shot tho.

All in street racing is fair...there is no such thing as "hustled", either you win or loose...period. If someone wants to race for $$$, always asume the car is fast. Just make sure yours is fast and doesn't look to fast.

Yeah, sleepers are cool if you're out to make money, but it just takes one pissed off loser to pull a gun or some **** out. I usually don't race for money, but this was just for entertainment. My friends put up the $$$.

in my book. Even if a GTP had them on, I would think he had a HEMI with N2O and a Blower with a jet engine tied to the back. In other words.... IM LAUNCHING ON HIS AZZ... JUST LIKE HE WAS A FULL BLOWN DRAGSTER...
