I can tell you that if you met me, and raced my car (while both having similar mods), you would learn/realize that the gt stang is not superiror to the ss camaro.

The cars are very closely matched. As everyone I have raced, has found out.

If they are so closely matched though, why did Phil's car ET near the same in the 1/8th as a stock power stock toon Br0 when he had bolt oins? I'm confused as I keep being told they are close

Only thing I remember Marc having was a full exhaust. Wasn't tuned. Not even the rev limit was turned up Damn. Great match for a full exhaust, rockers, intake, tuned 1LE.

I didn't even have full exhaust back then. Still had the stock heavy axleback and resonators.

He trapped (so he says) 114 with full exhaust, tune, driveshaft and who knows what else. Phil trapped higher.

As you know, there are many different things that can affect a 1/4 pass. I cant really speak for phils car, other than it seems to run well out on the street. As evidenced by the close races with Poppa (which is supposed to be one of the faster 5.0s for mods out there). Supposedly is on some "fast list" and beats many other 5.0s with more mods.

Track numbers dont mean much to me, to be honest. Track is track and the street is the street. 2 different beasts.

So far, out in real world conditions (street), my car has shown how the camaro ss and 5.0 stang are very competitive when similarly modded.
