I thought best time was 10.9-11.0 on stock tire?

also looks like 3366 is dry weight. Curb weight is expected to be near 3600 lbs

High tens best case scenario is my guess

wasnt c6z 505 3100?

500 lbs lighter with 10-15 more hp. Yeah I know other details will make the c8 run. But 10.5 is really pushing it imo

Good point, if a stock C6Z was equiped with an A8 ...
It was always a good time to be a car guy. But not always a good time to be a car consumer........right there is the difference.

My guess is not as much as previous engines. Most gm engines is very capable of making 40-50whp over their oe crank rating.....and I'm not talking about super special hotrod fuels that add 20-30whp. Just good basic tuning and hotrodding.

But the lt2 is likely more refined so i would guess not quite that much but still capable of well over 500whp in fbo form would be my guess.

Your typical automotive consumer doesn’t give a **** about any of these performance cars. So yes, it’s a good time to be a car guy.

I'm guessing it'll be as costly to tune as the ZR1 currently - hope not

I never got chance - it’s was my daily had my daughter’s car seat in the front right up to the day a kid hit me in a jacked up truck after dropping her off one morning. Totaled it

The next mod was a clutch but in the street it didn’t slip, the tires would give before the clutch. I just finished the H/C (RPM/AI) and goal was 630whp but clutch was slipping on the dyno. Mike at VR and Gearhead flics did short vid since we just passed my goal with a slightly slipping clutch

Man it's a good time to be a car guy.

C8 looks to be a winner so far.

Clutch should be first mod on a gm car. Get rid of mechanical torque management.

Yes, looking back you're correct. When paying off wife's student debt, my pennies have to be wisely modded and with an LS7 valve issue I dove into the mods first.

Yes sir, I swerved hard to avoid but he kept coming. She wasn't in the car but when she saw the damage in the salvage yard later she asked me not to get another one, she was scared then. I had tiny cut on my hand from glass, I was good. The car sold at Copart auction for $17,000 and because I had JayplaySS on the start up menu - he tracked me down here on Tech. He rebuilt the car in his garage in Texas then after it was done a VW ran a light and clipped the driver front and tore up the cradle and other side of a pillar and they totaled it again. Who knows where it is now -
