Gtr was supposed to be a 11.0 car....thought it woulda been a good run but knew even there i would likely lose. They just leave so hard on the street that they run the same number......especially on 4 r compounds. It likely was a 11.0 car on pump gas at one point. Just not on e85 and the mods that were current.....lol
He had a bunch of vids of it street racing. It outran way better cars than mine. He ran a friend a few weeks later that had a turbo 408 fcar from a roll that had been 8s or went 8s after that i forget. He beat him to....but likely because he spun.
A little back story. I ran that same dude once years before when i still had the ls1 in the car. He had a modded tt 300zx. That wasn't a close run either but to mu benefit...lol

Marc doesn't post in here as much as he used to, that's no secret. However it's clear to see by his slip that his 60' was a 2.2 and he has no problem explaining that there was no clean run at all. That's all the hard data you need to know unless you think a new 5.0 can't do a better sixty than that, which I know isn't your opinion because you frequently mention 300hp mustangs cutting 1.5s. Trap doesn't always go up from spinning, either. My experience is sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

My oldest brother has an 800whp GTR he's finally selling. It leaves absurdly hard on the street. You'd need a full slick and some PimpJuice or traction compound sprayed down to ever hope to match the street launch. He had a Tesla before that which he thought was a rocket but my pile of junk ran around him one day and it went up for sale 2 weeks later.

still not worth it for them as usual. LT1 gains twice that or more depending on cam

I would imagine a 800whp gtr is nasty af. But they go about their business rather easily.
Look...ive just never seen or heard of it goin faster. Could it? Maybe....did it. Well that's the question. Until it did it didn't. I mean i get **** off of a legit slip.....but you're asking for a gimme on this.
You need to get back to the track.
On a side note my buddy might have my ls6 done soon.
Gonna be a good look

I’m probably gonna be about 7000 rpm for my build. Just gonna stay with the msd and a medium sized cam with ported stock heads. My budget is limited. Should be enough for 9s in good air. A similar setup I’m looking at went 10.0@134 in 3000 DA at fest
yeah the 75-8000 rpm lt builds with big cam and hi ram are ~750 crank hp. I seen Brandon hills dyno sheet personally. Exactly 750 hp. Closer to 700 I’m guessing unless you poney up some big bucks for top notch heads. He has 4000+ a pair cid heads that were further worked over by Ryan gpi. Still on hydraulic lifters too. He went 9.7@139 at fest in 3000 da. 3400 raceweight

7500 is easy enough fo sho. Even if that's max with shift points in the 7200-7400 range. That be a good noticeable rpm extension.
I'm hoping I'll be able to run to 7600-7800 with the second cumming of the ls6.

That's why i concentrated on wr with bolt ons. Drivability not compromised, mpg as good or better, braking improved and reliability actually improves.
Last i checked not doing a h/c set up is less expensive than doing one

Ultra I 100% get the street manners focus, don't budge on that, but also don't halfass it and select parts that make less power for same money, you'll be pissed at yourself if you do.
Don't be like people on corral.net who pay the same money for a 75mm as a new 90mm because they're being "reasonable" and "not overkill"![Icon Lol](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_lol.gif)
As long as it has good street manners, give it hell.
