**** put the 8 speed behind the LS3 in the 5th gen and it would probably run damn near how a 6th gen does. GENV LT1 really is weaker internally than what GM has been putting out. 5th gen stock would go through the roof if they made a 8 speed conversion kit. They look good and ride good IMO too.

I don't think the genV is any weaker. They likely tightened up the ring gaps a little more for emissions which would be bad for boost. On top of that no cooling in the port via port fuel injection. Don't seem to affect them na.
It's a wonder they don't go to gapless rings really.

Swapped to cloth manual front seats
Deleted rear seat (belts, mounts, brackets are gone as well)
No spare/tools
Jegs SSR wheels 15.8R 17x4.5F
Airbags deleted, aftermarket steering wheel w/ QR
Currently no turbo setup or roll cage.
In the end im hoping to lose enough weight to offset the added weight of the turbo setup and cage.

Still have hvac stuff?
Not alot of savings in the seats unless you go race seats. Even then when i had my race seats in it wasn't a huge savings because i still had them on seat tracks. So only saved about 30-35lb vs power leather. I put the stock seats back in it and have always had the rear seats in it.

My stock ss wheels weighed between 42 and 46 lb if i remember right. Depending on what tire and how much tread was on them. My bogarts with radials on them are like 28 fronts and 40ish rear. With a bias that i never got to run the car on that dropped to 22 front and 29 rear.

I have jegs ssr's with radials, 15x8 rear on a 275 and 17x4.5 front with Mt front runners.

Would any of you buy a Hellcat Redeye Challenger? I’ve got a friendly debate going with a buddy and I guess I see his point of just driving it not having to modify but having had a Hellcat myself it’s not breathtaking by any means.
Curious what you guys would say?

My in laws have both a Charger Hellcat and a Challenger Hellcat Redeye. Ive driven both and while they were quick, I didnt find myself overwhelmed with either. I feel like for the money their are much more enjoyable cars available. And if youre only concerned about turn key going fast you could have a shop build you something for cheaper and more enjoyable. And after driving a ZL1 the other day, id have to go ZL1.

yes, I nearly picked up a new hellcat last year but waited to buy a house first. House is bought now so I am going to aim for one in the next couple years. They are very easy to drive and comfortable... to be honest if you’re not aiming to be the fastest they are a very forgiving car and comfortable to use as a DD. Maybe I’m getting old but working on the Camaro just isn’t a good use of my time (I have far less time than money it seems). Anything 2 seat is out as I have a family (4 of us won’t fit in a 2 seater no matter how hard I try 🤣.
