They both cost a **** load of money. Port Injection setup is 5k. XDI fuel system with +60 injectors and a fore twin pump low side is 8k. But you could make 1100+whp on E85 and still have fueling left. The fuel system used on the setup Brett did likely cost around 3k. 1000.00 for the LT4 stuff, 1000.00 for the Auxillary low side, 1000.00 for the meth setup.

Most are not doing port injection for the reason you mentioned. It's added complexity seems to be problematic unless it's a OEM deal like the LT5 or newer Coyote.

I don't think there is any di injectors out there that can flow what the engine is capable of making yet...especially on e85.


Plus it would help cool the charge for guys staying sbe reducing the chance of the rings butting.

Yes there is. Jenetty Racing recently built a ZL1. TSP 427, Magnuson 2650, XDI fuel system with +60 injectors, Fore twin pump low side. Made 1100whp @ 17 psi on E80. No meth, no port injection.

That is about what I figured, close to 3000 bucks for all lt4 stuff + meth. Still a big chunk of change for 1000hp on a system that’s depending heavily on methanol.

the xdi injectors are $4,000 a set. Not cheap at all. Crazy

Ported milled LS7 repaired heads (non vendor won’t mention)
BTR springs
LS7 (genuine) lifters
BTR 3/8 pushrods
Chain
Oil pump
ATI 10%
160 tstat
CHE trunion upgrade
Hinson 1 7/8 LT’s
Offroad X
Magnaflow Axle back

Stock clutch, good luck. That’ll be next mod. This was modding and head repair at the same time.

Looks like you did a alternator delete too, pretty hard core on a street car......lol

He can have my factory 7k mile C7Z clutch for cheap cheap if he wants. These clutches are stout from the factory. Just not 800+ stout so I pulled it before upgrades.
