They're also coming out with a 6.8L pushrod V8 for the Mustang and F150. Also produced at the Windsor plant so likely/hopefully it'll be the same as the 7.3 with just a smaller bore or stroke and hopefully aluminum block.

A later model tiny Volkswagen Golf weighs 3300lbs.

3,000 lbs is light compared to newer Fords or Chevys weighing more than 3600lbs.

Hios **** box tin can would run a 12.8 with his entire setup he has now with 3600lbs of car weight.

Doesnt matter what kinda car it is. 3klbs is LIGHT in general. For you who say 3,000lbs is not light... go add 300lbs to your trunk and floor your car. Tell me how it feels then. Its easy for some of you all to say ‘furd’ is slow when ‘furd’ weighs 600lbs more than lets say ohhh Hios tin can.

Im not brand loyal. Im just saying 3000-ish is only 250-350 lbs out of a 4th gen fbody. You dont have to tin can one to get that far. If I remember correctly my loaded 02 SS. Auto, power everything, leather, t-top car, all factory options.....weighed 33XX. Yes it's light, but its not like you have to be riding around in something that flexs everytime you breath to get there. Losing the seats and all the airbags in a modern car would probably get you 300 lbs without thinking twice. IMHO the Coyote put Ford back in the game.

my 11 mustang was easy to get down to 3300lbs. And i hadn't gutted it, or did stuff like kmember, brakes, etc. Not an s550 at that weight is different story.

hes stock brakes. Got him on messenger. Don’t understand removing carpet and trim etc. it’s not worth much weight

my car just about as light and I’ve got 100 lbs on him in driver weight. And my car isn’t tore up like that. He’s removing weight the wrong cheap ugly way imo

he also told me he might rip out sunroof too... smdh wtf

ya Larry got my current car down to 3190 pretty easy without removing carpet etc.

I am currently heavier than wear larry had it as I'm not on a bias ply, and i haven't put in a light weight battery. But car still is around 3300. 3550 with driver. I make pull some more easy weight and switch to a bias later. But **** tin can ****. I'll just add power by doing highram and doing a vfn hood so don't have to cut ****.

I seen the race vs h/c c7 he had. You could tell c7 was faster overall even being on stock trans tune. But its full weight from comments from owner and strictly.

I need to get a run in with him. Hes got a good bit of weight on me, and hes auto. But i got a good bit of power on him.

Strictly street went like 10.81@126 pretty weak for them mods if you listen to his drag pass his trans tuning sucks . I think he needs a new tuner but he seems to be loyal to a guy named Dave . In his vid he said they didn’t focus on 1st gear cause he don’t drag race a lot 😂. I think the car should be running better than a 10.5 around 130 or so .

^^^ This. Last time I weighed my Camaro it was at ~3250. That's with a cage, a 9" (MWC) and ~50lbs of lizard skin thermal/sound insulation. With race brakes, new susp, front k-member, and airbag removal I'm hoping to be under 3000.

Would love to hear a run down on what you have done for weight reduction. I need to pull some out of mine but I am not hacking it up and pulling out creature comforts.

I'd do that to a 4th Gen but I am not doing it to my 6th Gen, it's too nice and I like the feel of it being a regular car on the inside.

yep something is off. He should be around 10.5@130 at that weight and with hi ram. I’m still faster than him on an msd. I was going to say the same thing

What vfn you going with? The Sunoco ? I’m going to cut for the hi ram for now. But I’m planning on a Sunoco

was thinking about pin on version too to save another ten lbs or so but I’m nervous about fitment and the hassle etc

optic armor front and rear glass will be available in February. Doing both is worth almost 30 lbs. guys are also dropping the front aux coolers with no negative to report. It’s worth 26 lbs. LT1 model and vert don’t even come with it

-Aerospace brakes all around. Street version. Don’t even notice them they great.
-pulled the rear ebrake lines and motor as they don’t work with the aerospace anyway
-5 lb lithium battery when at the track (don’t waste you time daily on lithium they don’t stay charged)
- carpeted rear seat delete kit
- when at the track front seats are pulled with kirkey and I dump the exhaust at axle
-when not at track my cat back setup is lighter than stock
- carbon fiber driveshaft
- pin on fiberglass trunk. ( they also make bolt on carbon but touch heavier)

coming up- front and rear optic armor. And front auxiliary cooler delete. Those are worth about 50 lbs

for a hero pass you can also pull the front belly pan brace and sway for another 20-30 lbs. which I haven’t tried yet

I've got carbon fiber hood and deck lid already, removed one of the auxiliary radiators and a drag pack but have added a twin turbo kit and secondary port injection system so I'm sure I'm back to stock or higher now. I'm going to do a lithium battery and back seat delete but want to keep all of the rest of the interior stock.

If you get a lithium and daily it better keep it on a charger most nights. They don’t charge properly from alternator imo. It will die On you if you don’t trust me

the biggest bang for buck that won’t kill car manner etc will be the brakes all around then. They worth almost 100 lbs. some of that rotating. It’s not a permanent mod either you can easily switch back

we tune his car. Problem is he don't have hptuners and don't log **** at the track. But as said on stock stall, and don't want to invest in one. Plus heavy *** racestars. Last he told me when we had him on dyno(two weeks ago) was he went 10.7@128. But not sure. I was just in shock how much he fucked that car up. Lol

But i seen his track rental video. So we like who Dave? Wondering now if he trying to use our tune then do some other ****. But either way we've told him several times he needs to buy hptuners so he can data log it etc.
