Well, today on my way home from the gym. I pulled up to the light just jamming out and i look in my rear veiw and i see a new silver boxster. I know a guy that has one and i was trying to see if it was him. I thought i hear a rev so i turned the music down. Then the light turned green and i took of normal. The road spilts into 2 lanes about 100 yards after the light and a soon as it spilt he got in the lane beside me and nailed it. By the time he got beside me i was already on it because i thought it was my friend wanting to play. I downshifted back into 2nd at about 45 so i got a good enough jump to stop his pull. At about 65 i had about 2-3 cars on him and shut down. Come to find out it wasn't my friend and it was some 50 year old man. When i turned off he probly hit about 6 grand reving at me. I always like it when i shut down someone that thinks his car is as fast as much as he paid for it. Well sorry for the lenght.

nice kill! i've kinda been wondering about how well our cars stack up against those boxsters

one of the salesmen or upper-management guys where i work has a 911 Carrera (non-turbo), i think that would probably put up a little better fight against our cars.....we'd prolly need to be at least lightly modded to keep up

I have to agree even though its already pretty muched established that an LT1 will kill a Boxster. I have a friend here that shut one down awhile back. HE was at the local cruising area, when a kid came up showing off and asking to race in his Boxster that mom and dad bought. Needless to say my friend taught him a lesson.

I cant think of any recent carrera's that were turbo fromt the factory The 911 turbo/911 GT2's are NOT carreras, so the (non-turbo) is kind of superfluous/redundant... just for your information

and, no, the boxster S is not a high 13 second car... more like midish 14's, with the regular boxster being around low 15's/high 14s... I am pretty sure on this...

You guys are funny. I have a 03 boxster S thats stock and I have raped a z28 LT1 and edged out a LS1 TA vert even though I had a passenger and he didn't. S8er is right, the new box S does around mid-13's guys not 14's Milla. I see that many of you guys have mods. Ls1's and LT1's can be fast if modded correctly but they are not that fast stock. Luckily for me, no around here mods up there F-bods so I can smoke them all day long. See ya later.

^ I've yet to see any Boxster S post faster 0-60, 0-100, or 1/4 mile times than an LS1. A stock LT1 is right where a Boxster S is in all those categories.

1. An '03 Boxster S is a mid-14 second car. Sorry to shatter your dreams. 220 rwhp and 3100 lbs does not equal 13s, sorry.
2. How the are LS1s "not that fast stock" if they're faster (low 13s) than you CLAIM your car is (mid 13s)?
