my first official kill me and my buddy both got hired in at the same place and our goal was to get some new rides.....he ended up getting an 04 mustang gt. i of course got the nice 01 WS-6. he called me up one night and we met at a gas station and then went to race.....the first time i smoked him and even missed 3rd gear, i prolly had 4 car lengths on him.....he then told me that he "messed up shifting" (he has an automatic)... so we go back and do it again. i dumped the clutch at about 2,500 and still womped his ***. he wanted to go again but by then i thought we already drew to much attention to us.

or is a HORRIBLE driver (ive seen z06 do 15's lol)
my talon can whoop stock gt's all day long (well not from a roll, awd sucks!) and it doesnt even run right and is a POS, and I sure cant beat my friends moms 02 ws6 a4 by any means, and thats stock too.
Im not saying all GT's are horrible, I dont like them myself but if a car is fast I give respect where its do. My buddy daves 04 (I think) GT can beat up on stock cobras, but he hasnt ran it at the track to see what itll do. I know hes got better gearing and some bolt ons, not sure exactly what else he has.

Damn you guys are harsh. GTs have their place in the fast car heirarchy. Maybe not as high up as LS1 cars, but they have potential. I got one in the back with bolt ons, as soon as ATI gets off their *** and sends us a package, it will be more than a match for a lot of LS1 cars. I am quite jealous of their rear end though. Man GM should have taken a cue from them on that front.

yeah them GT's are an embarrassment to factory muscle cars.....unlike LS1's they HAVE TO HAVE FORCED INDUCTION to run good times or be mean street machines......thing i love about LS1's is theyll own supercharged GT's with a lil heads/cam package...yeaayah.....nice kill man....and tell your friend to stop bullshittin about messin up shifting...thats the lamest excuse ive ever heard from an auto guy..i know ill never make that one

All it takes is a driver that can drive the sh*t out of a car to make it fast

Manuals aren't all that great but autos are quite slow. It would take quite a bit for him to be able to take you. There are plenty of bolt on GTs in the 12s and I'm sure eventually you'll get surprised by one.
