It was this past Saturday, 10/2/04, in Chicago. He went 4.661, I think. Not sure if he was able to back it up though.

Yeah...on Sat he did a qual. run at 4.69 and did the 4.66 in the first round on Sunday. Great conditions 69 or so and low humidity. Also, in Pro Stock someone ran a 6.667 at 207+ mph. Grubnic ran a 4.49 in TF and I think there was another similar one by someone. These were on 85% nitromethane instead of 90%...dropped to that level after Darrell Russell died in June.

Who are you with? My friend's son is at Taji with the 1st Cav. I was in another F'd-up place a long time ago.

Well the killing part, I have to leave that up to the Army and Marines, and Air force...I workwith KBR. I am at Balad.
You there was someone in TF who ran 4.51 also....I was half asleep when I saw the run and heard the time...But I didnt catch the name...LMAO

Next time you hear from your friend tell him "Prayers are with his/her son" Keep *** low, and head lower!" No shame in Ducking!!
When it's time for him to re-deploy back home, I will be here. This is a transition point...That's all I dare say.

But he has a friend in Balad.....Stay safe, see ya

I went to the race at Ennis (Texas Motorplex) on 9-26...good race but too warm to get record runs...TF was like high 4.50s...FC about avg. 0.3 higher and PS were low 6.80s, I think.
I've contacted KBR on the web but not on the phone. I know a guy from here who went to Taji in July. Do you have to work 12/7 for 4 mos and get 10 days off. I guess this is not the right forum...PM me if you'd like because I'd like to know more about working over there. Dan

How low do you think the nitro % will go down to eventually? Just imagine if they were still burning 100% nitro.

How low...don't know...they dropped to 90 from 100 when an engine blew at the hit of the throttle and some people got hurt. The guys on the TV said the teams have gone to higher-volume pumps to offset the drop to 85%.
