I said put the crackpipe down because of the argument you were making about blower bla bla bla, no personal attack intended .

I called you a ricer because you said that the cobra has a blower, so take the blower off or whatever to make it an even playing field. That is something a ricer would say about an 8 cylinder
He didnt say take the blower off, he said he was going to bolt on gas to even the playing field. You know power adder for power adder. He was picking w/ Brandon.

Anguss66-- Its funny you should mention the mach 1. We have yet to see a fast one yet. Maybe we just dont have enough of them around, but none of them have impressed me yet.

NO, I'm pretty sure he said "it still takes a blower to even have a chance against a bolt on ls1." Don't some of you have any basic reading comprehension skills You just have to read the posts, than sometimes, you won't be so quick to jump the damn gun!

A blower is NOT needed for the current 4V to get the Mach's to run mid/low 12's (or even high 11's),
which plenty of them do with the right bolt-ons.

So your continued assertation has ZERO truth to it...

Just wait until some of us start getting heads/cams packages too.

The ironic thing about your post is that you probably think your 12.38 @ 114mph is fast.

well unit it may not be all that fast to you, but like i was saying is its faster than ANY mach 1 ive seen. oh and my car has no weight reduction other than the spare tire and the aftermarket hood. those times were run on 245 nittos with a 1.93 60'. so for a bolt on car , yea it is fast. plenty fast enough for a mach i anyway.

Not faster than this Mach 1

DEFINATELY not faster than this one either.

Not saying these are earth-shattering times, but just because you personally haven't run one of the faster Mach 1's,
doesn't mean that plenty of them don't exist...

12.3 @ 110mph? Great ET for that power level. ET Streets and an 8.8 will do that.

Here's a Mach 1 that my buddy's shop built:

680rwhp/730ft-lbs on a Mustang dyno!

I remember that blown Mach - did he ever sell it?
Seemed to me like the car had pretty much the best of everything installed on it.

BTW, here's some slips from another Mach that runs similar times:

Wish I knew what they were doing differently than I am.
Powershifting (or shifting at a different RPM?) maybe, or it could all be in their better 60' times I guess...

I don't know if it's sold. I did hear that he was selling it though. It pulls like a freight train. A fully built 4V stroker/turbo will do that though.

Anguss, those cars run good but look at the 60' and mph. The first car had a 1.69 60' and ran a 12.31 @ 110. Mine was a 1.93 and ran a 12.38 @ 114. You tell me which one would win a street race? The second one has weight reduction and an electric water pump. It only weighed 3385 w/ the driver. I know there are some out there that run good, i just havent seen any around here do it. I have yet to see one trap 114 or better without weight reduction. Remember it takes horsepower to put up high trap speeds.

Maybe you guys could come to N.C. sometime.

I was going to say the same. Tires and gears seem to be the Mach 1's friend, yet it's all E/T. I'm not going to dispute how quick it is, but on the street, 110 doesn't get you very far.

That's for damn sure. Traction helps alot, but only 320rwhp or so that puts him at 110mph just ain't gonna cut it.

To me, ET is ET no matter how you get it running down the 1/4.

You don't go up to someone at the track who just beat you by a few tenths & say "But I trapped higher than you, so I really won that race!" do you?

I know full well that trap speed indicates power production, but if you can't efficiently apply that power to the ground then to me it's useless until you can.

BTW, the Mach I posted about earlier just ran a 12.21,
but still at 110.8 mph:

One thing that you are forgetting is that this isn't the drag racing section. This is the street racing section.

Exactly. 110mph gets you owned on the street.
