Moe-Ron in a C6 What in the hell is wrong with people? 
[rant on]
So I'm on the way home from the gym and I'm minding my own business. I look over to my left and see a nice white C6 pacing me, but about a 1/2 car length ahead. I pull up to the passenger's side window to give the guy a thumbs up and the dumb **** guns it. So I pulled up again signaling him to roll down the window. Guess what...the dumb **** guns it again. This happened at least 4 times.
Finally he gets it and puts his window down. I said, "It's too cold I'll just burn 'em up!". The guy responds by saying "Yeah
" in a sarcastic tone as if to say "sure buddy, you just don't have the power." Riiiigggghhhhttt...
It's 30*F (20* w/ wind chill) and I'm on Kumho's for the winter. I figured I'd show him that I'll just go up in smoke. So at 40mph I dumped 'er into 2nd gear and tapped the gas. The rear end kicked out to the left about 2 feet. I pedalled it and it kicked out 2 feet to the right then I let out. Just a little display of power since he dead hooked on street tires in the middle of the winter!
I think he honestly believed he would've taken me. There should be some sort of test given to people prior to buying a performance car. Dumbasses should have be required by law to drive Neon's.

It's the "off the shelf mentality." Of course, if you buy a car that's normally faster stock than another car you will always win. 
That makes it even more satisfying when you bust their ***. I hope you run into that guy again and hand him his *** on a silver platter.

Hey Unit...If ya need back up to just make his jaw drop you can always get a Neon after him and show him what kind of power Michiganders have...seems like hes a rookie when it comes to power and cars in Michigan.

Seriously though, I have the same thing happen atleast once a week with a mustang or old 3rd gen camaro, just because he's a tool doesn't mean he can't have money.

I read an article on the C6 that stated that they were 13.XX and 12.9 cars in the 1/4. I just glanced at it and did not see the exact reason. I do, however know that the magazine stated that most of the 1/4 times people have been reporting for C6's are in the low 13's range. Stock, GM quotes 12.6 M6 and 13.1-2 for the Auto. My personal opinion is that after 01-02 nothing from GM made much more hp than the stock LS1 with an LS6 intake in a TA or Z except maybe the Z06 version, the rest was marketing and hype. I personally expected more from the new Vette, but they do look nice...

Your thinking is seriously flawed......The new C6 runs about like a stock 04 Z06....as much as a full second and 5-10 mph difference in the 1/4 compared to a stock 01 F-bod.....Go out and test drive one, you will see the light.
