Talking

With the driver removed from the equation: Stock for stock an M6 Ls1 makes more power and is both faster and quicker.... In my experience they are not equals... The '98 model Ls1s and Machs do stack up very close, however the gap widens when you compare the 01's and up.....

If I'm not mistaken I think he doesn't have more then 15K invested in that car.. I talked to the owner of it for a while and he got most of the parts very cheap and the labor too since they wanted to make a product car for there buisness to show off.. Or something like that..

Yep I have seen around a few different times around here.. Talked to the guy at one of the Mach1 GTG's we had at a Local track here.. That was when he first got it out of the shop with the new motor finished and it wasn't really tuned at all and only putting out around 3-4 psi.. Need less to say it wasn't running all that great that day but I bet it is now after he got all the little bugs out of it.. What they didn't tell you in that Mag. is that he had that set up on the stock bottom end and it lasted about 2 weeks. Up untill the boost controler F-uped and went sky high.. One of the rods bent like a banana.. Luckily it didn't break and go through the block.. Nice car but that is one hell of a plumbing job that I wouln't want to do..

Sadly i hate to admit it but Mach 1s are pretty damn quick. My buddy has one and it makes some serious low end torque but he is easy to catch up top lol.

Oh yeah...and I seem to recall it's sitting on street tires. I'm talking REAL street tires...not a DOT approved slick or DR.

I raced one ... a non-A4 ... awhile back and he got me from a dig ... took me hitting 70 mph before I could finally pass him ... was nearly dead-even 'til about 60 and I was barely edging the guy. Then, I had a few bolt-ons, but, not many. I'm estimating I was at about 300 RWHP and about 315 RWTQ. It was a respectable run with the guy. I still think he had a few mod's, but he said it was stock.

Yes, the fact that the Mach is an auto makes a BIG difference, compared with the manual. Unfortunately it's the same transmission found in pre-05 GT autos, therefore an aftermarket T/C and valve body mods are a must IMO.

ok dude don't get me wrong but i think you need to stick with ford for now, or atleast read up alittle on f bods next time you make a stament. I mean thank you for the support but take it from an f-bod owner the 10 bolt sucks.

That was when you were stock and only had one turbine spinning right?
Probably 70% + of the people on this board have owned LT1's, there performance isnt a mystery here.

Can you elaborate on this? Did the de-tune the engine? If those numbers of 240 are correct, that would seem like an awfully large drivetrain loss for the auto, even if it was a lackuster performer.
