Default WS6 vs WRX

It was a WRX but I'm not sure what year, I think it was an sti. It was dark so I couldn't make out the letters on the passanger side above the light. I did notice the WRX on the left side. I don't think the kid new what he was getting into because he started with me and you can here my cam from a mile away. He started with a little rev and then floored it, so I hit it. I was gaining on him but had to brake because there was a car in front of me.

Then he comes to almost a complete stop in the middle of the road so I pull up next to him and ask if he has any mods. Hes like "huh", so I say "did you do anything to the car?" He said "yeah exaust, lets go at the light." I thought what the hell even though the light was already green. So now people are beeping at us so I give him a rev to go and he just revs back so I think **** it and just punch it. He was able to keep up for a second and then it got ugly. I was at 90 so fast it scared me, I'm not used to the new cam, so I hit the brakes and check my rear view mirror and I think he must have been 20 cars back. I thought it would have been a little closer but I guess I need to find some closer matched cars. It was fun regardless because I never seem to run into anyone that wants to race. I have to take what I can get.

The WRX doesn't have any side badging. You can tell an Sti by the huge wing on the trunk, and by the very small "Subaru Technica International" text on the driver's door. Otherwise, they look just like a standard WRX. By the bus lengths you put on him, my guess is it was a standard WRX...

Good kill, nonetheless...

Thanks for the info. It did have a huge wing on the back but could have been aftermarket. As far as the sides I didn't see any badging, the ones I was talking about were in the rear. WRX on the left and letters I couldn't make out on the right. How do the WRX and sti compare in the 1/4 mile?

Thanks everyone for the compliments on how my car looks too, I wasn't expecting to get those kind of comments in the street racing forum, lol.

At the strip, on the first pass of the night, I raced an STI. I won by 3/100's of a second. 13.50 vs. 13.503.

Sweet kill,

And it wouldnt matter if it was a STi or WRX they both have problems with a stock LS1 let alone a cammed [Although they are really cool cars]

But I bet that cam must hold you back into your seats, must be cool.

The STI's are a good second slower in the 1/4. An STI with an exhaust would still get worked by your build though.
