Default Mustangs, will they ever learn?(LONG)

Alright, here goes.... Sat. night me and a few friends went out to Blanding blvd just to ride around, all kinds of ricers and mustangs and a few Z28s were out and about, well I see about 3-5 mustangs pull out of this parking lot, including a GMC Jimmy? I get up beside this 00(?) Black GT with blue 'MUSTANG" on the bumper, sounded like every other mustang i've ever heard, I downshifted to 2nd, we started from a 45-50mph roll, shifted to third, 1 car length ahead of him and still pulling, had to let off, we did that for about 3 minutes or so, on and off, well the Jimmy the was behind us pulled up and said something about another Stang back there that would whoop my @$$ and blah blah blah, well I told him to bring it on, he pulls out of the way and starts waving at the other stang back there, and the black GT pulls out of the way and lets this red mustang 5.0 up beside me, I didn't what I got myself in to. Passenger was egging me on to race"we'll whoop your @$$ come on man!". slowed down to about 20mph, 1st gear, punched it, pulled him very slowly , shifted to second, started pulling him harder, let of at the end of 2nd cause of traffic, raced twice, the 2nd race was the same as the first, kept pulling him harder and harder. They all pull into another parking lot, i go down a ways and do a u-turn, i pull into the same parking lot to talk, the driver of the red 5.0 came up and started talking, "I got 4.10 gears, headers, exhaust, ect ect." someother crap, he then proceeded to ask me if I was running the bottle!!!! HAHAHA, my responce, "No, I'm stock!" His eyes got really big, then his story had something to do with no traction and too many cops and bald tires, when I pulled up into the parking lot he asked me if I wanted to run again. Funny how his story changed after I said I was stock. So all in all, pretty good night.

That sounds soooo much like a buddy of mine. He has an 89 GT and loves to talk ****. After ive smacked him down in a few races, he turned to "if i had a better clutch... if i had traction..." Not all mustang guys are like this, but the majority of the ones ive talked to are. They like to make excuses for their cars... its like.. "dude... run whatcha brung!" and shut your mouth if you get beat!

Actually my car is pretty much stock, and it is definitely naturally aspirated. I know LS1's are fast cars, but I sure as hell am not afraid of one and I never will be, my car can more than hold its own. Also I have a question: If Camaro's and T/A's and Firebirds and all that were such bad *** cars etc. etc. then why in the hell did they stop making them???????

They quit making them because more high school girls got 6cyl mustangs for their birthdays than
6cyl Camaros and Firebirds. Its not the Cobra, the SS or the WS6 that make up the market. Its a sales issue, not a performance issue. There you have it, little girls prefer mustangs.

dude, they stopped making C3 vettes a long time ago. i bet thats why i haven't seen one in forever. oh yeah that's right, i DO still see them. just because they quit making them doesn't mean they're not gunna be around.

don't get yur hopes up. there will always be some guy in an LS1 to show you his tailights as visible evidence they are still around.

You get what you pay for when you buy a car. And that holds true with mustang. It was built cheaper therefore it sold for cheaper and that leads to cost saveings which leads to more nos. produced.
quote:

What I want to know, is why Mustang guys come to a LS1 site? Isn't there a Mustang site or something you can hang out at and talk your trash. You'll even get poeple to agree with you there!

one of the reasons mustang guys post on here is b/c we have a lot of friends that are on here. i also enjoy reading how SOME of you ls1 gods kill everything you come across. example: honda stock 97 4.6l w/automatics, trucks, old tired mustangs, and a lot of other impressive 15 second rides. and finally i havent seen the oh so popular "the new cobra has a blower, take it off and we'll race motor on motor" type of whine. every group has whiners, ask my friends i whine about racing cars i dont want to. there is always a faster car and you will get beat, please dont cry when it happens, and PLEASE dont post your defeat here it could possibly scare SOME of your fellow ls1 god

It's funny that you talk about LS1 fbodies loosing. I thought that I was going to loose, but I was wrong. Just the other day, I was at a stop light and this guy in a yellow something or other starts eyeing me. Of course, being in a Z28, I knew that he was looking to race. The light turns green and I punch it. Before I knew it, my tires spun just a bit, but being the great driver that I am, I controlled it. Well, this guy pulls a good two cars on me in a matter of seconds! I couldn’t' believe it. I saw this yellow with black stripe thing haul some ***. (Note: his shifting left a little to be desired) Well, as you know, being in an LS1, I'm not giving up. My tires hook and I'm off. I blow right past this guy without any problems; it's like he was slowing down. I suppose that he didn't have any top end, broke something, etc. I don't know, didn't care. Then, as I look back, I notice that he WAS slowing down. It appears that this "yellow" thing was dropping some kids off at the next stop. Who knew? I wasted a school bus, Wahoo! Of course, with the mods that I have, I didn't really think that there was going to be a problem. I only wished that I had my in-car camera man with me. To be honest, I don't know that the guy was looking at me, I couldn't see him. But I felt his stares. (Editor’s note: The previous statement was full of . No child was injured as this never actually happen. I other words, it's dripping with sarcasm.)

I'm ready to be taught a lesson by you badass LS1 guys. The F-body blows donkeys, period. Ford built more cobras than RA firechickens. This v-6 crap has nothing to do w/it. When the mustang outsells the firechickens and ***-aros over 2:1
There should be no argument of which car is better. Granted, from 94-02 the *** body was faster, but that is it. Anyways, I guess the v-6 stang is for girls, the v-6/v-8 f-body must be for gay dudes. That would explain the sale difference and it's cancellation.
