Default 03 SVT Cobra & Me

This afternoon I was on my way home and was on the feeder road of a major interstate, and there it was a white SVT Cobra, intentionally waiting for me to pull up along side. There is nothing like this sort of situation to make the hair on the back of your neck rise.

There was traffic so we were just content to follow each other through traffic until we found a "spot" that was safe. It's as if we knew what each other was thinking, without ever exchanging words. We followed each other onto a different feeder road with less traffic. I'm sure we were now headed in opposite directions we were traveling. I had a passenger, she said what's going on? I said just watch.

I pulled up along side and I signiled "three" with my fingers, and was about ready to blow. He insisted on giving me the move, so I nailed it in 2nd, 40 mph, roughly 4K rpm's. I pulled 1 car length the rest of 2nd, probably because of the move. In 3rd I pulled him really good, probably two car lengths before he shut down. The race was over.

This is not a kill, this was car tuning.

I waited, we rolled down the windows, he told me his name. We complimented each other, and he said he was stock, and I told him I had bolt-ons. He said he was saving for a pulley and wait until then. We smiled, gave each other the thumb's up and then were off, now I just needed to figure out where I was and how to get home.

Excellent kill! Maybe next time he'll think twice before giving the jump! What do your mods consist of? I was sorta curious what boltons it would take to compete with one.

I love the part where he is saving up for a pulley tho.. He just bought a 35k car, and he has to save up for a measley $200-$250 pulley. Thats like buying a z28 and saving up for a lid.

So what mod is next?

I beat a stock 03 rather easily in my 02 SS with just SLP lid and catback, S2 TB, Predator base tune and pulley. It probably helped that I don't suck at driving. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

<img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Bolt on LS!

I rode with Guerro this morning to see what a 150 shot feels like....thinking about going bottle. Looked at a cam (2K) looked at heads/cam (5K) supercharger (6K) Twin Turbo (9K) 150 shot.....seems to make sense. It's there when you need it, motor the rest of the time. I'll have to see what the NX kit and setup I want costs.

I love the Vararam, it was my 1st mod...it added 11 rwhp alone.
