I like the 05 GTO and would take one over the Cobra.

My Cobra ran 12.6 @113 bone stock with 800 miles on it. Let me know when a GTO runs better than that bone stock.

P.S. Another thing that slows the '05 GTO and C6 Vette down is that damn torque management. Take that off and the times will increase greatly.

The Cobra would win, but.. it would be close enough to who was a better driver. The better driver would almost always win.. All things being equal, Yes the Cobra would win. This rubs me the wrong way to just leave it as a win for the Stang because the damn Stang is blown the GTO is all motor... But... Comparing the two as they are yes the stang wins thanks to the Supercharger. Suprecharge the GTO, and we're in business

I didn't notice the honda civic in your sig., yet by your post I thought you were a proud owner .
This is the most rediculous argument ever, let's put an end to it . Now I honestly don't care what differences there are, they come however they come. With that said, 4.6 to 6.0 liter. Who the **** cares?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?! I don't think I have ever heard a cobra owner complaining that the GTO has 6 litres (or 5.7 for older LS1). It's just a stupid argument.

Dyno numbers vary (and can be manipulated)......360s is the ave. I see out here in Ca....could be the 91 octane and weather playing its part......In the dead of winter in MI on 93 octane and a happy dyno anything is possible, but a GTO beating a Cobra isn't!

i think that 6.0 GTO willl take the cobra off the line; maybe up to 50mph or so then cobra will walk on GTO. ive seen it happened. FYI; ls1 vs ls2 GTO. usually GTO wins but i would say drivers game/ GTO has better chance. STOCK vs STOCK.

The GTO's 6.0 is comparable to the Cobra's 4.6/ supercharger set up...
If my resources/ math is right, the GTO's 6.0 and Cobra's 4.6/SC is very close in CFM...which seems correct considering production HP#s (Which I think the Cobra is a little under rated or GTO over rated)
So its really fair to say "Its got a blower" when its all relative to moving air in and out of the motor = One automotive manufacture used a blower to achieve this another Cubic inch......seems to me they are on pretty equal playing fields STOCK vs STOCK........except the Cobra might have a weight advantage.
All this from a LS1/LS6 owner....geeeeeeeesh
