You must be one big mother for your car to weigh in at that pig of a number.

I can't believe that 98SuperSport believes the Cobra's suspension actually helps it at the track. That's just funny

Not that big, I'm about 210lbs, and I am just figuring my car weighs about 3600lbs = 3800lbs race weight

Honestly I am not sure what my car weighs. 3600lbs is just a guess, it might only be like 3500lbs. It's a 99 WS6 with mods in sig. Here are the main weight changes from stock

added weight:
SLP Subframes
stb
stereo
17X11 wheels w/315's

reduced weight:
removed spare and jack
air/egr stuff removed
no cats

I went 11.97 with less than 320 rwhp, and my Mach is a LOT heavier than a Miata.

Here's a heads-up for you, since you obviously need it:

Efficient use of rwhp + the right weight = low ET's.

That wasn't so tough to understand, now was it?

Listen Anus, can I call you Anus for short? I think it's pretty obvious that efficient use of rwhp is key to a good e.t. and I've obviously mentioned the weight part of it already...why do you think I asked about his weight Anus?So gee thanks for the meaningless "heads up." I just never thought he was as light as 3150 race weight b/c he never mentioned anything about lightening the car that much. Thats super-light.

That is what I believe the car weighs at race weight.. I take out the front seat, rear seat, all the stuff in the trunk, and switch my rims and tires from a set of heavy steel 17x9 and 17x10.5 black bullitt rims with 275 40 17 Kumho 712's up from and 315 Nitto drags out back to a set of 15x3.5 weld draglite up front and 15x8's in the rear running 26x11.5x15 ET Streets.. With my bullitts on and the weight out the car weighed 3230 with out me in it.. I beleive these welds and tires brought the weight down about 80 more pounds.. I need to put it on a scale to find out for sure but that is what I think it weighs.. And this is with out me in it.. I only weigh around 160.. so its not too much more..

dan03mach, the way you said that the ws6 on page 1 had so many more "mods" than the stock mach1, and then you say that you barely have any "mods" to your mach makes me chuckle. Let's see: lid, SFC, panhard arm, torque arm, nittos to your mach's RAI, php spacer, LT's, OR/X-pipe, catback, 4.10's and a bunch of other drivetrain "mods." Wow your car is practically stock, I'm sure it doesn't feel much different from when it was driven of the showroom floor. But wow that WS6, it has a ton of **** done, I mean, that things has to be loud as hell coming down the road. I bet you could hear that lid roar from a mile away. Also, be careful what you wish for, if you lived near me you might win a race but your mouth would get you into trouble you couldn't run from. And the thing about the mach1 getting his "*** handed to him on a silver platter..." was a joke from Zoolander.

Well lets see... a Mach 1 has 4 camshafts while LS1 only has 1. Mach 1's have 4v per cyclinder while LS1's only have 2v per cyclinder. Mach 1's have 3.55's while LS1's only have 3.42's and a LS1 is still faster. Comon you have to give it up to GM and the LS1. Ford to this day hasnt build a N/A car that can beat a LS1, and if they want to talk about 03/04 Cobras well we got a little friend called Z06 which also is N/A,1 camshaft, and only 2v per cyclinder.

Hate to break it to you, but I've done 11's at 3350 lbs, which isn't that light considering the car weighed 3465 stock...

... and just for the sake of clarity - 3150 IS NOT "SUPER-LIGHT"

Under 3000 lbs with driver is super-light.

Funny how you forgot to mention the 65 extra cubic inches that the LS1 has that the 4V doesn't.

Not true at all.

I beat LS1 cars (plenty of them not stock) when I WAS stock, and I still beat my fair share of modded ones now that I'm not stock anymore...

Yet ANOTHER "I can't launch worth a shat so let's go from MY rolling sweet-spot" racer.

How's 'bout you run him from a dig like a REAL racer & hang your head like a beaten doggy when he shows you his tail lights???

Why change intakes, I haven't.. I just put a new pipe that goes to the intake, about the same as you putting on a lid.. If I wanted to change intakes I could go with FR500 or just a port and polished stock one and gain another 20rwhp, but thats another story, we aren't talking about that.. I don't care if you run me from a roll or dig I would win either way.. But you always say from a roll, what is that about? Are you another one of those No driving ***** that have to race from a roll because you can't drive for ****? I guess so... I run from a dig like every drag racer.. If you can't drive thats your problem.. You are always saying if I had this, if I had that, well why don't you go get this, and get that, then learn how to drive and then you can call me when your ready..
