Well im not hating on no one but i just had to tell some people this. Well I just moved from San Jose to Modesto about 3 months ago, and I serisouly think all the towns around modesto and modesto itself have the stupidest racers and slowest cars, lol. Since i been here ,everyone i have raced, i have beat them by train lengths and its not even funny. Let me tell you guys about them. Well first of all i have a 89 mustang notchback with a built 331 stroker with a Novi 2000 s/c on it. My best time is 10.6@127. Well my first race was against a Civic SI, haha, yah i know you LS1 guys already know the outcome, i whooped him. Then i raced an 03 Cobra. We were at a light and he was like is that thing pretty fast, im like its alright. So he was with his lady, and he was like lets see how good you can hang with me, im like sure. So when the light turns green we go. Beat him by about 6 cars then shut it down. Next light i told him i think i hung pretty good with you. He just turned after that. Haha. Then all the other sorry *** imports i have beat, civics,integras,evos,sti's, eclipses and so on. Well the best one was this Z06. I was on the highway when a Z06 comes up and throws some revs and keeps hella ******* with me and keeps getting on my ******* nerves. Im like **** it, show him how its really done. We slow down about to 55 and he jumps and i follow. By the time i hit about 130 i had to had bus lengths on this guy like nothing. So i take my exit and go get something to eat at In N Out. When i park he also followed me and says whats in there and i tell him. So then this mother ****** says well if i had the same amount of money invested in my Z06 as you have in your mustang i would have killed you. So im like well how much you pay for your car and hes like $40,000. Im like including the price of my car i only have $10,000 in myn. Then i say give me $30,000 more to even up the amounts and ill whoop your Z06 so hard that i swear to god you would sell it. He then takes off hella fast and i just laugh. Im not trying to brag or sound cocky, but some of the stuff these guys do is really stupid, and yah for everyone around where i live now, if you see my silver notch, please dont make me embarass you.

Given that some Cobra/Vette/LS1 owners can get cocky, especially around a 5.0, modded or not, doesn't mean you should be getting cocky about your stuff. Doesn't make you that much different than them, does it? I know people don't expect 10's out a clean notch, but still, don't let 'em expect it. Just my $.02

the fast guys in modeto rarely run there cars on the streets. yes, too many slow japanese imports that think they're fast....but the guys i know of w/some heat park on mchenry in front of the party city or whatever and just watch everyone go bye. go to san jose/sacto/or bay area and you'll find some real fast guys from norcal ls1-lt1

 

Yah maybe i should just let some stuff go, but i know you guys know what i mean when everyone always trys to race you and then when they get beat they always have an excuse like that guy in the Z06. Oh yah i just moved down here, but when i lived in san jose, there were alot of fast LS1's that i knew, like Nick who runs 9.9 in his SS and he drives it everyday. Some of you guys also might know Nick also. Like i said Modesto is way slower than San Jose. In San Jose i even lost some races (******* Supras) only on 70mph+ rolls though haha. Well ill see whats up. BTW i should have my Novi 3000 and 3.73's in a bit. Want to get into the 9's baby. Later guys.

 

Lol, well in defense of some people around here. There arent very many "street cars" especially on McHenry or whatever running 10's...Hell youd be lucky to see some running 13's

 

Yeah no kidding. Saying that your area doesnt have any fast cars and your running 10's, well my area has maybe 5 guys around running 10's, and they really don't get them out that often.....10's are f'ing fast.

 

Hey QuikZ06, how fast is that Evo, if it is a V8 killer?

 

Obviously not a 10 sec car, but it should run high 11's to low 12's. Not bad for what I have into it. Lol, but I'll watch out for a 89 Notch

 

QuikZ06, shouldnt you refer to the evo than as "Some V8 Eater" because im a V8 that you wouldnt be able to beat.
