I was under the impression that these cars run low to high 13'z stock @10psi. Stock 13.4 is not bad and quit even with a stock ls1 f-body. That rx-7 pullin glike that is in the 12'z, no doubt, but is the race a real race...kind a hard to tell really, but still enough to make you think. I love the fd'z and with its stock FI package, it only takes a few mods via boost to make them faster. Just turn a little set screw or hit a few keys on a keyboard.
I dont want to call BS but the trans was an auto so the missed shift comments are dumb, the driver comments are almost as dumb as the missed shifts statements unless your talking about hitting the limiter. So lets see another race with a good vid and shut this up....money, i dont run for money just maybe a track fee's or gas. Well, actually, i'll run ya for some cashola....but that comment is wuite dumb a swell as im in south florida and have no plans of driving up there for a few hundred bucks in my pocket.
Though i can guarantee my victory, i would spend more on gas.....
SO, lets see a good race and some respect for the fd...its not your old 12a, non turbo...these are quite fast and ahead of its time.

Not too hard to believe to me, **** Evo's run almost 20 lbs. of boost stock, so what is the big difference with 25 lbs.?

well, maybe the same difference between the sevens 13psi to a stock 10psi.
An evo on 25psi is quick. Able to produce mid to low 12'z, it is apparant johnny'z seven is either hiding something, a stock freak or a "great driver".
Did you buy this car new? Mahbe there are some mods that you dont know about like a prep/honed/ported motor.....

The AWD thing should be looked at...
And so should the whole 1/4 mile ET preoccupation thing.
Yes I blew his doors off but that was like 4/10 mile when I first let off @about 135mph. Now let's look at it in the 1/4 mile
Give or take a few 1/10's say I'm 13.0 or even 12.8 ET
I hit 4th gear at his rear bumper @ like 95mph 26seconds into the Vid.
That leaves 2-3sec in the 1/4 mile, look where is he at 29sec or even 30seconds into the video (this would be the end of the 1/4mile)...
He is on my back bumper! I got him in the 1/4 at most by only a tenth or two!
Did you notice my shifts?
I hit those gears like I'm driven an F1!
That could save 1/10 per shift (depending on how he shifts) X3 shifts is 3/10 right there
Slow my shifts down to rookie speed and he beats me in the 1/4mile because of AWD.
Point> The EVO in the Vid may be able to beat my RX in the 1/4 mile.
But this was real life, not the 1/4 mile
Hypothetical
Remove traction and retarded gearing and aerodynamics from the equation..
Acceleration is power/weight right? Physics says Yes.
300hp 3400lb STI and 300hp 3400lb stang are the same (ish) side by side from a roll. yes or no?? this is hypothetical, the answer is "Yes".
Now run these two cars (with stock tires) in the 1/4 mile and the STI kills the GT by 5 or 6/10's!
In this example AWD is worth about 1/2 second in ET (as in the real life example above)
How much hp does that GT need to even it up and win by just 2/10 in the 1/4?
I would say almost 100hp, but what ever the number is doesn't matter...
Give the GT whatever you think it needs to win in the 1/4 but now run them in the 1/2 mile and I bet the results look a lot like this video of me and the EVO.
Bottom line..
1/4 mile times don't mean everything, when you are not at the 1/4 mile track!
On the street, it is more a power to weight thing.

Somebody stole my identity! I made the 1st post with the picture, but I didn't do the other stuff after!
I see how you copied my name but used a o instead of 0 on the 608 part. You're a real douche and the mods are going to ban you pretty soon.
