I will be pissed yet not surprised if this doesn't happen. I think the 350's are nice cars they are just underpowered stock, I pulled one hard from a 60 roll in my bolt on ta(LT1) I really thought they were quicker but they are nice.

No, no, the prices I mentioned include the car.

I found it though, its in the Jan '05 Sports Car International. "Dr. S and Mr. R". Page 66.

The S-Tune has revised springs, shocks, cat-back, and nice anti-roll bars. Its all on better tires. $42,651.

The R-Tune has headers, cams, intake, lightweight flywheel, adjustable LSD, funtional aero bits, and all the S-tune stuff. $48,264.

Basicly like all other cars, if you want to improve peformance, go outside factory programs.

Dealer was just looking for ways to make more money.
Ok just trying to clarify.

True but those prices are crazy. Basically an extra 20K for those items. Are their transmissions able to handle the extra power?

It is insane. Seriously, all those parts might be about 8K worth of stuff, maybe.

That said, the 350Z has a really robust driveline. Plenty of guys running much much more power than stock through them. I think it will be the hot V8 swap in about 6 years. You could just make an adapter plate/clutch components for the stock tranny and bolt up a small block. Most swaps you have to do the tranny and driveshaft and rear diff too.

As a DSMer and in a forum filled with dead 10-bolt rear diffs, Id just like to say screw you LOL

Thats not fair. Although stock GM clutches handle that I guess....

What car isn't overpriced these days. Since you guys haven't bought a new car (F-Bodies aren't made anymore) in a while maybe you haven't noticed that a Civic is $23,000. Sounds like my grandfather telling me his car cost $3,000 when it was new.

I don't see why these guys can't get the fact that our cars are superior stock for stock. I takes a modified 350Z to beat a dam STOCK C6. Modified 350Z will not beat the dam MODIFIED C6. The horsepower achieved in the C6, is the goals of the 350Z. Simply put, a monkey cannot beat a gorilla. Before I continue, I would like to say that I love the 350Z, BUT I am no dam fool. There is no way I could barely loose to this car, THAT IS POSSIBLY FASTER than my modified car and call him out in a dam race. A wet shot will shut his azz down in a heartbeat. I bet they will have a sob story if they got shut down by a Trailblazer SS. It's just funny to me...

Which is the reason why I would NEVER buy a new car anymore.

Oh, I don't have any shots of my engine with TT but here's a pretty shot of my car to make you guys talk more

I'm still at 5.5psi and about 320-330whp until my exhaust gets put back on. My car is being used for CARB certification out here in Cali.

Yuck Cali. The state with the strictest emissions yet their air is the worst. Those mountains don't help for air circulation.
