Obviously you havent seem what a properly built DSM can do have you? Not a car that I want to drive but they can be fast and spank all over your LT1.

 

I own a DSM, among other cars. Its also a DSM that'll hand your car its ***. I dont care what the platform is, can it perform.

Which is why I have a 73 Duster getting the twin turbo treatment.

Some LS1 owners just cant believe that a 4 banger could beat a V8, once again good race regardless of whether or not it was an Lt1/ls1/6 cyl

When I first bought my LT1, I was so cocky i didnt even want to tie my own shoes.

But after spending some days on here, some of these people have me beat my a long shot.

 

No need to defend a truthful post. Ive been beaten by sti's, evo's, and srt-4's, and all that does is give me more incentive to mod my car. I got walked on by my buddies 370 whp srt-4 and thats why the cam and other mods are going into my car so quickly. Wesman just seems to want to bash every import out there, regardless if they are fast or not. Theres a HUGE difference between a trashy import (late 80's civic with a fart can) and an sti, evo, etc. Im not a huge import fan personally because im 6'8 250 pounds and cant fit into most imports, plus I love the sound of a v8 at WOT, but that doesnt mean that I cant respect a well built/fast import. Then again most of the people that bash sti's, evo's, etc are usually people who dont even own a fast car or any car at all.

And like I said, the STi isn't anything special from a roll. Its no faster than any other 230WHP 3200lb car. Meaning it runs with stock SRT-4's

 

I never talked about racing your car personally... as DSMs are not on my list. I don't like them and wouldn't waste the 93 on them. Sorry to dissapoint you, but that's just how I feel.

The point is a DSM isn't an icon to anyone except those that own them. No one is interested in a DSM. Who cares how fast it is... it's a DSM. Like driving a Turbohcarged Peterbuit... who cares... it's a damn frieghtliner still.
