just cause some one has more of an open mind about cars doesnt mean they are stupid. its the close minded people that are in fact the stupid ones.

 

What you just dont get is that nobody worth a damn is saying that on here. I never did anyway. I have pointed out how other cars can compete with the LS1. Nobody on here for any length of time is saying that a AWD 2L is a beter all out drag/roll racing platform than an LS1. What people are saying is that it can compete. And it can. If thats too much, ignore it. Nobody had a problem with accurate assesment of the competition in the past.

Seriously, look at the threads, where the **** to do you see all these people supposedly saying AWD is the best drag setup and such? I can think of one person who got on here like a week ago.

I can recall off the top of my head saying it beats out the 3.5 VQ motor all around. I can recall plenty like that. I can recall saying that the SS is a better road course platform than the S2000. I can recall trying to explain to an LS1 owner why the LS1 is probably the best circa 12K used car to start with for performance. (He disagreed LOL) But when I disagree with these morons who make stupid claims who dont even say what they drive or if their car is stock (evading the question a lot actually), all they can do is pull out the insults. I love it. I wonder what they'll do when I have an LS1 and still disagree with their BS. I got called a ricer troll by some doushebag who says that the main reason people get LS1 powered cars is for the looks first and performance second. (Didnt realize the LS6 manifold looked so much better than a V6 one ) Some guy who got his *** handed to him regarding his stupid statements calls my information BS when I post links to it. If thinking the looks of a F-Body are more important than its performance is not rice, then I guess we all need to settle on a definition of rice. Because thats pretty much the exact definition of it to me. Same for ignoring fact and spouting BS.

No, being a "true car person" doesn't mean you have to respect every car. In fact you may only like certain types of cars, yet you are still an enthusiast. I consider myself a "true car person", but I will never, ever give any respect to a riced-out primered Civic hatch.

Why?? Because no matter how fast it may be, at the end of the day, its still a riced-out primered piece of **** Civic. Its not all about speed, its about having a nice car to start with and then making it faster.

 

You guys are incredibly retarded. I raced an STi in my friends ws6 1999 automatic with borla exhaust from about a 45-50 mph roll and i only got him by about a car, and the STi didnt even have exhaust. This is the same day I completely owned an LT1.

There have been a lot of people, import enthusiasts especially (not that it makes a difference) who came on this board with the wrong attitude, but cleaned up their act VERY quick and now everyone for the most part likes when they post reliable and believable information in a thread. However youve been here for quite some time and cant seem to adapt, everything you post turns into a pointless debate. Since when do "weak" t/a's run 13.4 @ 106 mph through the 1/4 mile. It's an automatic as well. I guess everyone's car is weak then. Actually now that I think about it, you drive a weak *** car. LT1's are a ******* joke. Even my piece of **** L98 own LT1's..In case you haven't realized it, LT1's are yesteryear's news and nobody even gives a **** about them anymore. And thats fine... that is your opinion. To some people performance is more important than looks, and plus, its easier to fool people whiled driving around in a primered pos. People have made a few bucks doing that. Looks are subjective anyway, what looks good to you may not look good to the next person. Your thoughts of what might be a pos are not going to be the same as everyone elses. Why knock on someone who puts their blood, sweat and tears into their car just because you think that particular car is ugly and a "piece of ****." I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate it if someone told you you were stupid for trying to make your ugly piece of **** car fast. No matter what you drive, someone isn't going to like the car that you drive.

Either way this thread goes, it's apparent that wesman just hates imported cars. The normal car guys know that there are imports that can compete with american muscle cars. This is obvious sice we can compare the STi and EVO with f-bods and mustangs.

I have to agree, I think all the fbody's look pretty damn good. The only ones I didnt really like were the lt1's. but only due to the headlights and weird nose of the car. Otherwise I have to say I think they are all pretty attractive looking, thats JMO though.
