I'm really not much of a VW guy, I used to drive an 89 jetta, and I got known as the guy who drives a jetta around here, and so I got a custom title... then when I sold the car, I got it edited to !... I never came up with the title, its just a touch that Unit added himself... If I could afford an LS1, I would, but being a poor college student, I cannot, so I just read/post on this forum and learn a lot for when I eventually do get one.

 

Man you are really stupid. You give respect to imports, and obviously thats all you give respect to. I don't give a **** if the STI is modded, its going to have to have at least 70WHP in mods just to keep up with a stock LS1. And most F-Bodys aren't stock anyway. So I still call bullshit, and I don't give a **** what you think about it.

 

I give respect to imports that I think deserve some sort of respect. I really don't like imports, but I'm not going to bash them just because they came from another country. I don't understand why import ricers choose to troll domestic message board spewing thieir Supra is best, AWD is superior, 2JZ whatever bullshit. When the answers are simply at the track. Why is it that when an import of some sort runs an 11,10,9 they get a video and are glamorized on ricer forums? When V8's have been commonly running those times for years, and while fast, it's hardly out of the ordinary or rare.

 

Its painfully obvious there are alot of things you dont know. Sit back, relax, and just remember that your ignorant *** is in good company with the rest of redneck america.

 

I wouldnt put a ricer label on someone with a well built supra, or an awd sti, evo, or even an srt-4. I agree that rwd domestic v-8's usually put up better track times than most of the imports but an 11/10/9 second run out of a smaller displacement engine (CI and cylinder) is pretty damn impressive. Sure it costs more money than it would with an LSx powered vehicle but not everyone wants a domestic v-8 powered car. You need to at least acknowledge the fact that running those times with an awd 4 cylinder turboed car or in a supra is the equivalent to an LSx or an domestic v-8 out there running a 10/9/8/7 second 1/4 time. Sure it might not be that impressive in the grand scheme of things, but its still pretty damn impressive. Im not an import lover, I love the rumble of a well built doemstic v-8 and couldnt imagine owning a sports car without one but give a little credit where credit is due.

My favorite car has always been a Corvette, so thats what we got when we could afford it, but at the same time I like imports as well. If you are really a true car person you'll respect every car even if its a beat up primered Civic or whatever that runs 10's (thats just an example) I honestly dont see why there is so much hate between people that drive different cars, different strokes for different folks When I first got my Evo I used to have STi's pulling up all pissed off like I just keyed their car or something wanting to run, all talking ****, that stuff was too funny. But that only lasted a few months until I started getting modded, a couple pulls and they wouldnt look my way anymore. But anyways cant we all just get along most are obviously car people or we wouldnt be on these board at all hours of the day and night *rant off*
