What other mods did he have, just a cam? Has he ever dynoed his car, or ran at the track?

he is on here i believe, but from what i gathered. he got a good deal on the cam and springs so he bought them. LS6 cam and springs, lid, true duals, stock manifolds, 3.73's.

My A4 LT1 always got OWNED by LS1's from a 55 mph punch. We are talking already had a car on me by 60 (he was A4 too, but i DOUBT 2.73 like me). STRONG LT1 man.

hey thanks man, it seems to run good. i have a few issues to work out on it, and then possibly get it tuned on the dyno.

no he bought it sometime in october i believe then had to put it in storage. he most likely just got it out about 3 weeks ago when the roads were ok to drive on. if i was to take a guess on what it would run, 12.4@110 on this track up here. well see, the track is open on april 30th for the first time this season, hopefully he will make it out.

stock manifolds...ls6 cam...that is a rather weak cammed ls1. Is it even tuned?

He might be pushing 350 to the wheels. Race a long tubed, 224 cam or more, and tuned car and give us a vid

But your car does run very well...nice going You only have bolt-ons...very impressive

The LT1 in question only made 267 on a dynojet. It is only a bolt on car, I will vouch for that as I know the car personally from working on it when he lived in FL. On the "sauce", his car should be worthy of a 224-ish cammed car w/ LT's.

When he makes it back to FL, we'll make sure to see how it does against a certian black 00' Z28 w/ H/C/I & full bolt ons.

Ill run you guys this summer...from a roll... But thats not gonna happen becuase I am probably a light year away from you. But I dont think it would be fair to let 86 iroc use his juice ( I searched your posts)

I am putting on a set of prc ls6 heads with comp valve job, .040 cometic. Ill have a dcr of 8.6 and a static of 11:1...a very very good quench, dcr, and static compression. A guy just made 44x to the wheels with almost the same identical set-up ( his cam was about 2 bigger on the duration). Was just posted a couple days ago in the dyno section.

My car is also lightened and is a no option hard top.

instead of waiting for him to reply, the juice was on his last setup. this time its NA i believe.
even if i did spray, i doubt i could keep up with 440 at the tiremaybe for a sec. but not for long
where u located?

If you searched my posts, then you know I no longer have nitrous. I sold both kits, my old NX kits is actually going on the LT1 car in this thread. The TNT I briefly had, never went on the car. I have a whole new set up, with full bolt ons. I am one part away from being able to put it back together.

I stopped doing roll races because of all the heat here - (if you haven't heard, street racing is a felony in FL), and because I didn't spend money on QA1's and drag radials for roll racing. I have enough M6 kills under my belt when I was SI & N/A.

Yeah I know what you mean. I have almost been caught a couple times and rarely race anymore.

I would have to be a dumb *** to race you from a stop...Im sure you would take me...thats why I said a roll.

I live in jackson michigan btw

Why is it when a LT1 beats an LS1, everyone is so surprised?

I mean, given...the LS1 is technically more advanced and pumps out more HP, but an LT1 cranks out lots of Torque, and power.

All the people that own LS1's and knock LT1's IMO probably never rode in one.
I've rode in both, and there isnt much of a difference.
Full Bolts on's on an LT1 with the proper gearing will run with any Fbody LS1.
And if you Heavily Mod each motor, they are pretty darn close.

I dont want this to turn into an LT1 Vs. LS1 thread, but damn.

I thought it was surprising that he hung that well...thats all I can think of...and no lt1 beat an ls1 in this thread
He is about 80rwhp behind...with an automatic, from a roll,...that is surprising to me.

Yeah...this site has been on this subject WAY too many times.

I have ridden in an exhaust and cai 94 z28 6 speed about 3,000 times. I thought it was faster than my car when I first bought it bone stock....but it definately wasnt when we raced

Heh, you we're knocking me in the other thread, now you are knocking other LS1 owners here.

Look man, I had a 25th Anniversary T/A and it was an AUTO! It's a damn nice car and I love the LT1's, but face the truth. They are no where near the LS1's in the mid to upper RPM range, thats for damn sure. My brother now has a cam in the 25th with the other bolt-ons I had on it when I sold it to him, we are racing this weekend when I go see him. I'll let you guys know how many cars I put on him, . You wanted an LS1 vs. LT1 thread, you got it. Accept the truth and move on, stop getting all butthurt.
