Default Pissed off a 5.0 driver.

Seen a 5.0 racing at the track close to my house the other day (1/8th)he was running like 9.6-9.7 all day, about normal considering both the guys in the car were about 200 lbs each, street tires also.Well Im on my way home that evening and what do I see,the 5.slow. I pull up beside him at about 70 rev at him, he throws his in third we both nail it to about 100,we stayed side by sise the whole time, but hang on heres the catch,I was in my everyday driver a 93 Grandam lmfao.3 speed auto ga so it actually has pretty good high end power for 160 H.P. Now im not saying my p.o.s. will run as good as his at the strip I just caught him at my best kick point, but hell I dont care it was still funny just watching him grin beforehand then not even able to pull away from me. to bad I didnt have my Camaro yet I would have destroyed his ***.LOL

Thats funny I used to own a Mustang GT 5.0 93 it was pretty slow thats why i got a TA. I ot tired of getting humiliated all the time especilly whne that RX7 beat me by about 8 cars. That was the turning point. I love my car and would not change it for anything.

I used to own a 95 TA and it was pretty slow, thats why I got the 5.0. Got tired of being humiliated by other stuff.

Im sorry, just had to say that, lmao. But yeah, sounds like he had mild bolt-ons to run mid 9's with 400# extra weight. All in all, a slug.

Fox bodies are cool little cars... When I start working more and get some money flowing, I hope to save up to build myself a little Fox....

Depends on the 5.0 Bowtie. I could counter by saying Trans Am's suck THey have **** for a rear end, are way harder to tune than a 5.0, cost a lot more to mod, cost more to insure, on and on

Personally, I'd like to stuff a wild 460 into a foxbody.

why a 460? I would think that a 408 would be more effective. noone i know runs a 460.

LOL good kill!! My last car was a Blue '94 Grand Am. For me back then it wasn't slow but of course it's not a performance car. It easily pegged the needle past the 110 mph speedometer when I had it and it was stock.
