i was riding with my friend brandon not long ago and we were riding around OP (for u fl guys) and this cobra pulls up next to us and starts revvn and this guys like smillin at us, so my friend revs up and it just sounded sick...i dont know much about turbos and sti crap but he has the traction control module, a 3rd stage turbo or something, 100 shot nx, and alot of other crap i have no clue what it is, but anyway green means go and this guy burnin his tires while Bs all wheel is catchn and the blow off sounds sick with him shiftin through, he kills this cat by at least 8 lengths AT LEAST....in between a 1/4 or 1/2 mile space....the guy comes up to next light and gets a couple of lanes over so other cars get between us and brandons just crackn up...i was like dang...that ended quick....i hate ricers and such...but i like the sti, esp b's he actually takes it down dirt roads and crap....multiple fun...i dont feel as bad cause he dont know jack about my ls1

 

Judging from the overall difficulty of comprehending your post, I would say you don't know a whole lot about grammatical syntax, either.

But i agree with the statement about sti's not being ricers. They are pretty neat little cars.

 

actually i wasn't really trying to be very grammatical, i was just trying to get a point across, and did you also notice the time i posted this thread? i was a little tired so im sorry. i hear alot about these evo 8's, but honestly they dont have much on a nice STI, and no i just dont mean some garbage wrx. I do know there is about a 70-80 hp difference between the two. I read the comparison in car and driver about the evo and the sti, and ive also seen my friend race one at the track on the northside of town. Like i said i just keep seeing alot of post about evo's killing people, and not many people saying stuff about the sti, really the only non-domestic car i would drive, that and i hate mustangs.

Chances are it was a 99-00 Mustang Cobra with the significantly overrated 305HP engine. I could definitely see an STi with a 100 ahot putting a good distance on one of those.

However, if it was an 03-04 model with the 390HP 4.6 S/C, it wouldn't even have been a race without the bottle. With the STi on the bottle, it probably would have been a close race.

 

You hear a lot about EVO's due to the fact that their engines are forged and have a front mount intercooler as opposed to a non-forged engine and a top mount intercooler. STI's are nice cars but if your going for lots of mods and serious HP its easier to do it in the EVO IMO.

actually the sti is rated around 300hp this is stock, a wrx is around 227, my friends turbo isnt stock i know its upgraded big time but im not versed in foreign turbos, i know his car is around 380-400, minus the 100 shot he has, there is no reason why a car WITH all wheel drive AND minus several hundred pounds couldnt put that much length between a heavier rwd car with the same hp.
