just for the sake of comparison, i doubt these mods -LT headers, Matching Y-pipe, CAI, LT4 KM, and a tune- would give you a 108 trap, which is commonly associated with the 05 6 spd gtos.

What are you implying? That my car has more mods than stated?
Those are the mods to my car and that was an 05 GTO M6 with a good driver...There really isn't anything else to it. I wish I could have gotten all the races on tape.

Z28, i've seen the video and it was a good run. i can not speak for the guy or his drivining abilities since i've never raced an lt1 fbody with your mods. but that car doesn't seem like a m6 gto, again, i wasn't there, and all i saw was this particular video, either way, nice run, and good kill/death.
also, yes, stock ls2 gtos can trap at 107-109mph on average depending on the driver. half of the people i've seen are trapping at 106-107mph and 108-109mph with good drivers. some of them only had a cai. as for the et, most people seem to run mid to low 13's on average, high 12's with avid drivers, we have a guy with just a removed maf, mufflers deleted and nitto 245 dr's running mid 12's at 111mph in arizona, many people can vouch for him, including some arizona mach1 guys (but that's another story ), cam only ls2 gto's are running low 12's to high 11's at 117-118mph with pretty much a stock suspension and full weight.
i've ran 13.007@108.39mph,2.1 60', California Dragway, and 12.958@108.65mph, 2.01 60', Milan Dragway, this was before my LT's, so i'd assume my car should run a little bit faster and trap a little bit higher, i won't say a number yet since i like to actually run those numbers..., but if you live close to Milan Dragway or Norwalk Dragway, we could schedule a friendly run at the track and find out my numbers and compare them against yours...

Why would I race a modded 6.0 GTO? Also, why would you bring your car into this? You can tell that the GTO I raced in the video is an M6. I have no weight reduction by the way.
LT's make a big difference on an LT1. I understand that many people may have had one, but that doesn't mean anything.
I ran my car at the track and got an 8.4 in the 1/8. My 60' wasn't the greatest though. I'm getting a new set of tires, so I can hook up better. With a low 1.9 60' I think I can get an 8.3.
With those times, how does this race not seem plausible? I would think my car is capable of low 13's, maybe a 12.9 with a good 60'. Isn't that what the 05 GTO's run with a good driver?
Hmm...

i only ask because 9 times out of 10 ET doesn't mean dick in a "street" race as traction for both parties is limited...and "street" races usually go on past the 1/4 mile.
