No ones talking about liking one, its to understand them. Does that mean you have to like a 4cyc thats turbo. NO! It doesnt but there fast cars and they can be made to be very very fast.

Its better for you knwo to know about them so you wont be such a close minded DINOSOUR@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesnt it **** you off when people call Fbodys REDNECK HICK cars? I really dont like hearing that. And its ingnorant to say about a class of cars so it goes both ways. So stop making fun of 4cyc just becuase there motors are small, you sound like your uneducated.

If turbos are so gay" why are so many people going with TURBO SETUPs on LS1s

If he hooks up (not likely but we'll just say it does) high 11's, low 12's. That's assuming that the car is tuned. An AWD model will hit those #'s with that setup, but it is unlikely a GS-T would actually pull that off at the track.

It really doesn't take very much, you just have to know what your doing-getting all the parts that work with each other (boost/fuel/tune) is much more important than buying just a big *** turbo, because people have gone 10's on the stock 14b turbo and that was with FWD. I'm not gonna say it wasn't a race car though, cause it was GUTTED.

FWD with the stock turbo 10's? You sure? With no nitrous? AWD, yes... But even the FWD?

Its called project laser, you can google it they have a site.

When he says gutted in that fwd car, I mean its gutted. There is nothing left to take out.

I dont think it even has rear brakes anymore, check out the site.

Now thats a super extreme car, so lets not even compare it to any dsm since no one on the street is going to be that light.

16Gs need to be tuned very well, there are tons of people in the low 12s and alot in the 11s. Some people have gone low 11s but this is very hard to do, most avg dsms will never do that.

Pretty much rule of thumb is a Big16G car, with full supporting mods will go low 12s, and with very very good tuning and a driver you can hit high 11s.

If its a half assed setup you looking at high 12s, also there is somthing important we have to adress is the driving. You would think AWD is the best for 60foots but its not.

It isnt easy getting past 1.7 you need good tires and some sus mods, most people go with AGXs and adjust the back very stiff and leave the front soft......The car sqauts to hard and looses traction for getting outta the hole well.

It seems I've underestimated the FWD DSM's.

Default bboy

Why in the world would you underestimate a fwd dsm? Same chassis, same motor, same problems. Only differences awd has alot better gearing for the 1/4 compared to FWD. Fwd gearing is more geared for top end.

I underestimated their ET because, as is plainly obvious, FWD cars experience higher challenges launching out of the hole... I didn't think this was possible with a STOCK TURBO FWD DSM... Highly explanatory is the description (slick's) of the extent to which this particular stock turbo'd FWD DSM running 10's is GUTTED... And frankly, I am still impressed if that's okay with you.

Thats pretty much what I've already said. You can know what a car is capable of doing without actually liking or respecting it. I think its pointless to make a Civic fast. Yet there are some guys willing to waste enough money to get them into the 12's. Me not liking them doesn't change the fact that they are running 12's, its just my opinion that its a piece of ****, fast or not.

I really don't give a ****, because 99% of the people that call F-Bodys "redneck cars" are stupid white trash riceboy wiggers. And I'd rather be a "redneck" any day then be one of those idiots.

I never said turbos were gay at all. You must be thinking of someone else
