Okay, i need some help. Anyone know what the likely outcome of this race is. SRT-4 with stage 2 kit, fuel managemtn system, and ecu, against my 98 SS with SLP Dual Dual, Hypertech, LID, and that's about it let's say. Do i stand a chance? For Real, can i take this guy on the line too, without using drag radials?

Can you bang gears pretty good? If so, you shouldn't have a problem, those cars can suprise you though, but you should take him up top no problems.

Just a plain Stage 2 kit is not enough to beat an LS1.

Does the Stage 2 kit have turbo toys? If he's running in high-octane mode (turbo toys), it should be pretty even from a roll; if he's tuned to run more lean (Stage 2 runs really rich), he'll have the advantage.

In either case, unless he's on sticky rubber, 1st & 2nd gear will be pretty much useless for him, so go from the dig.

My buddy's Stage 2 at around 19psi was putting down 26x to the wheels, and has no traction in 1st or 2nd. With 311 at the wheels in my stalled auto with boltons at the time, I murdered him from a dig and a roll.

I hate to admit it but my slightly modded at the time 01' WS6 got pulled on by a modded SRT-4. This was from a 65-120mph roll. It pissed me off enough that I have orded a set of Dart 205cc heads and a cam.........not gonna let that happen again

I got to play with one a few times from a 50 roll. I didn't think the kid knew how to brake boost so I was retarded and started in 3rd, well he beat me. Next time I started in 2nd and we stayed nose to nose till about 115-120 when I started to pull away. He wasn't even a stg 2, just open DP, stripped interior, and boost controller. It depends if the guy can drive it. I just had intake, and exhaust. They can be quick from a roll but you'll kill him from a dig, and he won't race since I got my headers and spray

From a dig you have him if you can drive. From a roll you should be even or i can go either way. It's hard to tell.

i think it will be close but you should take him. My friend has a srt-4 with intake and a downpipe and i pull on him in my SS all the time. But i watched my friend race another Srt-4 with stage 2 kit and it didnt look very fast i thought i could take both of them. Srt-4 cant launch for ****. THey have too much wheel hop so if you launch good you should get him

a stage2 normally pushes 21 psi. and will run around mid 13s.

they have bad traction issues. but with slicks are a good run for an ls1. but you should start slowly walking away. he will trap around 102-103 mph most likely

My good friend here in S. Florida has an SRT4 and we are constantly going at it. He has a thing for rear-wheel domestics and likes talking the usual ricer crap about how an LS1 is "old technology" and "run me on a road course" and stuff like that.

Bone stock in his 2005 SRT4 w/ ACR package he ran a best of 14.2 and dyno'ed at 220 to the wheels. My bone stock 98 C5 A4 with the crappy 2.73's ran a best of 13.6 and dyno'ed at 291 rwhp. From both a roll and out of the hole I took him pretty easily. The only time he kept up with me through a gear is when we run right at 40 mph (their optimum boost level/powerband) and then the Vette pulls hard.

He recently added the complete MOPAR Stage 2 package w/ Turbo Toys (wastegate, new PCM, boost controller, injectors, BOV, and intercooler sprayer). He dyno'ed at 244 rwhp without the HOM (High Octane Mode). With the HOM activated his best pull was a little over 260 rwhp (which requires octane booster or race gas). His new best at Moroso is a 13.8 with the HOM engaged.

I added a K&N FIPK II and a ZO6 Ti exhaust. New dyno numbers are 308 rwhp and 307 rwtq. We have raced several times with our new mods. Out of the hole the results are the same except when he goes to fourth I can't pull more than 1 to 1.5 cars. From his famous "40 mph roll" he stays with me through second, I pull about 1 car in third and we stay at that distance through his fourth gear (close to top of my third) with his HOM setting. He is boosting a peak of 18 psi and holds 15 - 16 to redline. Without the HOM activated he gets beat either from a roll or dig pretty easily.

In a modded SS you will rape this guy. The SRT4's are a bitch to launch with bad wheel hop at low launch RPM's or excessive wheelspin at high launch RPM's. From a 40 mph roll he may hang with you for a gear but that's it. Unless you drive like Miss Daisy I don't see a problem here.....

whats the differences between a stage one and a stage 2 srt-4. I raced my friend stage one srt-4(minus downpipe) and i pretty much owned him from a dead stop and from a roll. From a dead stop i pulled 3+ by the begining of 4th and from a first gear roll, i pulled 4+ and still pulling by the begining of 4th. I had a 200lb passenger and a full tank of gas and the srt was by himself

From what I understand, Stage 2 w/ toys is basically all bolt-ons with the stock turbo. Stage 3 is a bigger turbo. BTW, motor mounts fix most wheel hop issues on those cars and everybody around here with SRT-4s are using them.

FYI, my buddy's Stg 2 car ran a 13.6 at 13 psi.

well my boy just recently put stg2 w/turbo toys on his 05 srt4. its comes with
stg 2 pcm
injectors
stg 2 wga
3.0 map/bar sensor
turbo toys - HOM/Intercooler Sprayer/Boost Level 0 thru 3
he also has mopar inatke/bov and magnaflow exhaust

i think that is everything. he ran my boys 00 FRC w/ exhaust and 305 Nittos 555R's. it wasnt pretty from a 15 mph roll, to about 130 the vette had maybe 5 or 6 cars on him. he spikes about 21 psi and hold 17/18 psi to redline.
