congrats bro, way to tep the LT1, from what I saw looks like the WS6 owner needs to improve his driving skills a little..but hopefully not. My headers and true dual setup should be on the car in the next couple weeks. Can't wait to see what I'll do to LS1's.

Furthermore, damn nice LT1 you've got there. It's always nice to see a good running LT1 show what it can do.

I'm about an hour or so away from a 1/4 mile track. I'll let you know if I get a chance to run it. I would like the weather to be a little cooler though...

I thought the LS1 was a downscaled version on an LT1?

Kids, I've raced dozens of LT1's' 3 of my friends use to own them.At the track they run low 14's/mid 90's stock and with full exhaust, pulley's and cheaters high 13's/around 100mph. I should know,I've been building street/strip cars for 15 years!

Well my bolt-on LT1 easily beats my friends Mustang that runs consistent mid 13's and I beat an LS1 the other day so therefore I run low low 13's and the mph has got to be atleast 105. Maybe the LT1's that your buddies had were turds or else they can't drive for **** because bolt-on LT1's are easily into the high 12's low 13's.

My bolt-on LT1 would pull on my bone-stock LS1 and you think a bolt-on LT1 couldn't take a WS6 carrying a good 200lbs extra in CONVERTABLE crap!?!

My "bolt-on" LT1 would beat stock/exhaust LS1s all the time, until I blew a head gasket. What makes people so stupid? The LT1 is a respectable engine, just the LS1 is better. Doesn't mean they're junk, doesn't mean they can't make power, doesn't mean there aren't "factory-freaks".

I don't get why people who should be like-minded are such ignorant ********. 4th Gens **** on 3rd Gens, LS1's **** on LT1's, Vette owners **** on F-body owners and C6 owners are now the new ********* who **** on everyone.

Is this fricken high school?

No..Then it would of been an even race. Stock ls1's run mid13's to high 12's stock

I don't have a stall. The mods I have are the ones posted.

Thanks for some of the people sticking up for the LT1. It's funny how all of a sudden LS1 owners and people who don't seem to understand how the LT1 won, think that bolt on LT1's can only run high 13's and some mid 13's.

i must say as a previous LT1 owner, i also raced an LS1 stock. both cars were autos and mine only had intake and exhaust. 3in in and 3in out all the way through. my LT1 was missing a tune (12X,XXX miles on it). his was all stock with ram air. he won, but it wasnt by much. race was from a slow roll to about 60-70mph, after which was apparent he would win by a larger mark. my car wasnt in best of shape.... 4th owner.... but it would run. Good racing!!!

Low 14's/high 90s stock. Mine ran 14.1 @ 99.5 stock. After LTs, Borla, and CAI I was running 13.4s @ 105 with crappy 2.73 gears and never managed better than a 2.1 60'. I would beat stock LS1s all the time at the track. Hell, it would be hilarious to be at the track and race the LS1 Vette owner who was all suited up with a helmet (ie. 13.99 or faster) and would see those guys not even dip into the 13's. That was funny. Obviously bad drivers but none the less.

I have yet to take my LS1 to the track and I am kind of interested how she will do. It is MUCH slower than the car I came from. I can tell you that. I am definitely a proponet of the LT1 and think it is a good engine.

BTW, nice kill man. I like it when the underdog wins.
