raced a c32 amg v8 kompressor hmm another euro car i didnt know to much about, is this soposed to be a performance car? i only beat it by about 5 car lenghts by the time i got to 120, then i let off. we were both getting on the highway and he goes into a faster lane and i just stay in the slow lane because theres usually no one in there and i go past him at about 80. then he gets behind me, and lines up nexto me at the next red light. hes revving and holding his brakes with the rpm's up alil. so i make sure im in first and get ready, he gets a jump on me off the start, but before the end of my first gear i was ahead of him and pulling all the way to 120 before i let off. then he gives me a nod and exits.fun race, the v8 kompressor badge made me alil nervous before the race given i didnt know what the performance of that car was going to be like.

it said v8 kompressor on the side.... im not sure about the c part it just looked like c32 idk unless they guy stole the badges

The c32 is a supercharged V6 that runs mid to low 13's I believe. 3.2 liter that makes 349hp and 332 tq. It weighs 3200 I think. Very nice interior and handling. Sick ride...

There obviously arent many MB guys on this board....this post is all wrong.
The C32 is no slouch. It should be dead even with a LS1, based on its numbers.
As noted the C32 is not a V8, and I would be very suprised is someone would swap badges on an AMG. In the bay area where they are a dime a dozen, I have never seen one with fake badges, but its possible. But why would they leave the c32 badge on???
The C55 is not, and never was a supercharged V8. The C55 is a 362 Hp NA V8. It is faster than an LS1, though not by much.

well this has got me alil stumped as to what it was now. i couldnt hear the exhaust over mine so i cant go by sound if it was a 6 or 8, i heard no supercharger but on a mercedes they consider cars to be junk that make noise. i could clearly see the v8kompresson bagde on the side and it looked very clean.but who knows this is nj; they rice almost everything here. i just thought someone with a mercedes wouldnt be that childish to swap badges. they did look wet behind the ears, maybe they thought it was the cool thing to do.

Anything '32=Blown V6.
Anything '55, Pre 03=350hp V8, NA.
After 03, the CLK, C class and SLK received an V8s, the CL, CLS, S and SLs received blown V8s. The 600s received TT V12s and the 65 series received TTV12s with a bigger motor and more boost than the 600s. Some of these benzes are really damn fast, you can get lunched on by some old lady without knowing what hit you.
Now theyre going back to an NA 6.3l V8. in the 55 series cars. Factory FI didnt work out so well for them for some reason. Over techie'd cars.

over tech'd??? Not any more than a turbo audi or the like. Over priced...maybe. But the AMG line is really something you need to drive to appreciate. I never really understood it until I bought my first AMG (1998 C43) back in the day. It was built proof and after 98K miles the interior looked as new, not ever wear on the leather. Stunning cars.

cts is right on all accounts. A c32 amg is no joke. although in my years as a mb tech i have seen plenty of horrible re-badges, amg's included. they are also something you have to drive to appreciate. This is a sohc v-6 with a roots type blower. i imagine that a e55 (w211) supercharged version would have put a little bit more of a lump in your throat when you went. There is one around here that is sub twelves with a few computer tweaks, high octane gas and some drag radials. dont underestimate these cars from a roll either, they just keep going and going and going..... im sure everyone here has seen the vid of the e55 eating up that cobra. im sure plenty of people will come to that cobras defense saying no traction or this or that... all i know is that benz was probably getting his back massaged by his leather heated and cooled seat while outrunning a very stout performance car.

Agreed this car will easily run with an LS1 and it can be modded.
