2 races 93 z28 vs integra/cobalt ss sc I have a 93 z28, k&n intake, flowmaster muffler, hi flo cat, airfoil, tb bypass. First today i raced a 95 integra w/ bolt ons. I tried to race him on the interstate but he just did the ricer flyby, and did 125 or 130 through traffic, so i followed. So i got him to race me. We agreed on a 40 roll, he beeps, but he just took off, but i blew by him, we went one more time and i murdered him, we ran up on traffic, so i slowed down. He ran the intersection nearly hitting several cars and was gone. what a moron. Than i went to the carwash and there was a s/c cobalt ss. I challenged the kid to race me and all his friends told him he would kill me. They told him it wouldnt be much of a race. 
So i just kept my mouth shut, and he agreed to race me. A win is always so much more fun when your told youre gonna lose. He wouldnt do a dead stop, but insisted on a 20 roll, i obliged and laid about 11/2 to 2 buslengths on him by 80mph. 
He insisted on a rematch from a 30 roll, he beeped three times very fast and got a huge jump on me, but i passed him and had 2 carlengths at about 55. It was worth it just to see the look on him and his 2 friends faces to see a 140000 lt1, smoke a new s/c cobalt ss.

Unfortunately it sounds like some of the Cobalt guys are the same as the import ricers that don't know **** about cars and think their little 4 banger can kill anything 
Now some of the Cobalts are in the 13's w/ some mods so they're nothing to take lightly for stock LT1/LS1's but if you're a good driver it shouldn't be a problem. Nice kill...

I'm sorry, but I had a 6-speed 1996 Z28 with full-bolt ons and a hypertech and know a little bit about LT1's. A 1993 with just your mods isn't enough to put 2 buslength's on a stock SS/SC by 80mph. A stock SS/SC traps ~98mph+ stock. A kill is a kill, so good job, but you either raced a NON Supercharged SS or somebody who doesn't have a clue how to drive their car.

maybe its the ss not the supercharged ss. I have never seen a ss/sc trap that low even when they miss a gear. For reference my buddy has a 95 lt1 full exhaust and a cai and from 40 to 110 i put 2 cars on him.

what do you consider modded? i have $700 in mods and i run with and even beat cars that trap 105+ mph. Must be high elevation just go to cobaltss.net look at the timeslips there.

sry the guy with the question is what i was confused about. Um these cars suck to launch not to mention being on 215's don't help either. If you get a 2.1 on stock tire you are god.
