You have obviously never seen a mach 1 or 99/01 cobra run, CAUSE THEY RUN LOW TO MID 13S.........LS TERRITORY. You sir are a complete MORON and need to expand your little horizon that people with common sense call A BRAIN.
Once you actually know about 4V 4.6s (N/A or otherwise), then you can have an opinion. UNTIL then, I will give it to you.\
UNIT - Why are you still expecting a slip? You know it ain't coming.
Oh and BTW MR. KEVIN.......THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 4V GT.

Let me set this straight. 4v '99 & 01 Cobras and '03/04 Mach 1's are LS1 territory. Just because you beat two of your friends who own 4v's doesn't mean anything. There are factory freaks and factory duds. There are freak drivers and there are dud drivers. Those factors all play in on who will win stock vs. stock when it comes to an LS1 and a 4v Mustang. The S/C '03/04 Cobras on the other hand are not in LS1 territory stock vs. stock.
A breakdown of LS1 f-bodies and 99+ New Edge Mustangs...
'03/04 4v S/C modular Cobra, stock: high 12's-low 13's (depends on driver)
'98-02 2v pushrod f-body, stock: low 13's-high 13's (depends on driver, tranny and stock gearing)
'03/04 4v modular Mach 1, stock: low-high 13's (depends on driver & tranny)
'99 & '01 4v modular Cobra, stock: mid-high 13's (depends on driver)
'99-04 2v modular GT, stock: low-high 14's (depends on driver & tranny)
There it is you ******* Mustang haters. It is not that hard to know about other cars, even if you don't like them. I for one, am fasinated by Mustangs and plan to own one someday. I would like to get my hands on a Mach 1 or a possible Boss that may come out in the near future. But to each his own.

I also am SICK AND TIRED of people thinking one, two, three or even four races are the end all to performance comparison. I guess those friends of his are the best mustang driver's ever.

Overall, the 2000 Mustang GT is a lot of car for the money, as a fully loaded, 5-speed GT, with leather, stickers for only $23,900. The Mustang is comfortable, easy to drive, and with a kick *** stereo, gobs of power, and unmatched civility, it's a "10" on the fun scale. Although the Chevy and Pontiac give you 305 HP with their base V8, the acceleration diffeence is actually pretty small, especially in a rolling start. The GM cars are all around less refined, and it'll cost you a thousand more for the Camaro Z28, and a few thousand more in the Firebird Formula or Trans Am. So the Mustang is the value for the money winner in this comparison.
Someone please post up some LS1 kills (fair races) on 99+ GT's to keep me on track. LS1 FTW!!!
Another thing that has scared me a bit on the LS1 is how I annhialated a LS1 TA the other week from a 20mph roll in 2nd (he gunned it while 1.5-2 cars ahead and I still put 1 car on him by 60 (he was coming up fast, but WTF!? I dynoed 244whp )
Maybe this is the wrong place for this, but I did post a "kill" (we let off at 60 due to traffic, he woulda won later on, but still...LS1<244whp 5.0 ????!)

they were having a get together at the drag strip and I knew one of them. So they each took turns against the vette. Low and behold the C5 ran even with them 0-60 mph and then just walked away from 70-110 mph..
So I never even bothered running a GT....Keep in mind that my auto C5 ran dead even with my friend manual fire bird...So if you get a stick camaro you should have the same results..

In that case, my car runs 6.90 @ 215mph on a 1.16 60'. I don't have
a time slip though.
Post a pic of your engine bay then.
I notice that you're kind of active in the for sale section. If you want to

I've personally seen at least 10 different Cobras run 12.6 @ 112mph
in bone stock trim. Mine went 13.0 @ 111mph on a horrible 2.4 60'.
The potential was clearly there for mid 12's.
Several guys have gone 12.50's stock with the best I've heard being
a 12.43 @ 113mph. That's way out of LS1 territory.
I guess an Escort vs. a GT3 could be a "driver's race" too. However,
one car is far more potent in stock trim.

I agree, Terminators almost NEVER!!! trap below 110 and LS1's almost NEVER trap above 110 (stock/stock). That tells me its all about the launch, aka driver, meaning with = drivers, its NOT an = race.

In 1320' I agree to a point...only because a driver can mess up enough to make .5 second difference; even. But a good LS driver will not beat an avg terminator driver.
